The situation is far more complicated than appears and the “Green Lantern” approach is doomed to failure. The GOP is responsible for Trump and ultimately, the rancor should be directed at them. I like Jerry Nadler, but this is on him 100%. He made a stupid concession to allow a private interview and to allow a WH lawyer to be there. So, no surprises. We have gotten exactly nowhere since Election Day 2018, but there was time to hold a hearing on reparations for slavery. Jesus wept.
I agree, but even I have my moments of total frustration where I tend to become overly critical of what’s happening. I probably let go of a doozy of my own here and there when that happens.
I’ll try to eat more Wheaties in the morning to give me that extra iron my system must be needing. Waking up to this shit daily is really taking a toll on my mental health. What’s worse is its empowering those on the extreme right to become even more unhinged, belligerent and violent with trump’s tacit approval and encouragement. I’m afraid he’ll be provoking overt acts of violence eventually as he did before, and as the campaign season moves into full swing.

When Pelosi stands up to defend the US Constitution with the same ferocity that she defends her priviledge let me know. As for the idea that I’m attacking Dems I can assure you that my complaints about Pelosi are nowhere near as damaging as her attacks on Nadler or the knife she buried in John Dingell’s back.

True but imagine if this were a public hearing. Dems would have won bigly and the public Pelosi says needs educating would have moved closer to understanding the need for an impeachment inquiry.

The one thing I saw on Morning Joe (this morning) was talk about Clinton’s Impeachment and how he/Dems survived was by not making everything about the impeachment. Clinton let the lawyers handle the GOP/Impeachment while he was out running the country and making deals in Congress.
I think/hope that might be Pelosi’s game….no we don’t want to impeach, we want to get this legislation/bill through. Oh wait, i’m being forced to open an impeachment inquiry because we’re getting stonewalled at every turn?! Well OK but, we really should focus on legislation.
