Yeah, you’re right. Still, why would you ever trust that guy to deliver a pardon? Manafort is still waiting on his. Isn’t he in Riker’s now?
I don’t think Flynn has anywhere near enough name recognition. Said deplorables likely couldn’t tell you what his job was in the white house.
Josh has some thoughts on this and it includes a pardon. I don’t know if I agree with this. Flynn is a bit of a whack job.and it is possible that his former attorney refused to continue on the deep state nonsense.
Sounds to me like a highly plausible belief.
One of “my generals”. I don’t think the name is important.
Welp, I’m happy enough just to hear from folks that Flynn having fired presumably sensible lawyers and hiring a crazy-like-him lawyer doesn’t necessarily lead inescapably to the conclusion he’s all in on a pardon. That’s just a way to spice up the story, it seems.
So who here also thinks this will not end well?
Well that’s a very good point - I would expect Flynn to do something like that.
I get the theory that Trump would feel he has to use the pardon power or lose it since there are only so many chances one gets in one’s life - I do see that.
I’m trying not to care but it’s hard with Flynn who really ought to be in prison awaiting the noose for treason.
Flynn should give revocation of his guilty plea a try. Nothing brings out the goodwill in a judge more than f-ing around with the criminal justice system.
Still, a pretty stupid move to hire a vocally anti-Mueller lawyer prior to sentencing when you know your federal judge is already inclined to throw your ass in jail despite your cooperation.
Alright, editing this. I think it’s key that the discussion between Flynn and Kislyak isn’t being disclosed here. There’s obviously a kind of rip tide going on behind the scenes there.
I’m guessing the idea is to rally the Trump base behind the possibility of a pardon. It’s not like Flynn has any other avenues to pursue.
He’ll have 20 years in the Fed to think about it
That Judge has no sense of humor
Well, he does have usefulness to Spanky still in so far as he bolsters the Planet 2’s narrative.
That’s the thing – it’s not like Flynn couldn’t angle for a pardon without going all crazy derp-state with this new insane person. I don’t think there exists a logical or defensible rationale for hiring her, no matter what are his ultimate intentions.
I think it’s just people yelling nice-sounding things at each other. They like the sounds that come out of their gums when they flap them a certain way.
The Republicans loved, loved, loved Mueller, a Republican, before they hated, hated, hated him. Grotesque hypocrisy, thy name is Republican.
Yes, and Flynn is a bit of a whack job and his very bad decision to spice up the response to the sentencing memo stands as evidence. He thoroughly pissed off the Judge. I cannot fathom Flynn wanting that sort of humiliation a second time. In the end who knows what influenced his decision to go with a not so great lawyer. Flynn knows what he did and was given an enormous break and how this unfolds will be interesting. It could all be a big fat nothing burger.

I see that Flynn is going full jackass.
Never go full jackass.
I don’t know. She seems nice.
