He his under investigation for misuse of FEMA $$ and is buttering up the boss in order to keep his job. Brock Long knows how many died as a result of Maria. It took nearly one year to restore power to the island. This should’ve been an all hands on deck moment for the Trump administration but sadly for the nearly 3000 souls who died, it was not.

oh that is an easy one. Republicans don’t think they will ever need it, so they use it for patronage. much like the state department, but this is where they put ugly people. Trump is very much for getting rid of civil servants and returning to the patronage form of government. as were many before him, ever notice how the first thing democrats have to do when they get in is find qualified FEMA people? This department only seems to work under certain administrations.

But I wouldn’t be surprised if Trump himself is pissed behind closed doors because the Puerto Rico death count makes him look bad.
