Discussion: AP: Gov't Finds 'Top Secret' Info In Clinton Emails

I hear the footsteps of Petraeus

After a lengthy investigation by the FBI that disgraced the onetime military hero, Petraeus pleaded guilty in April in federal court in North Carolina to a misdemeanor charge of mishandling classified materials. He received two years of probation and a $100,000 fine.

Your hearing needs to be checked.

This is why Hillary is using her surrogtes to damage her Democratic rival as much as possible, so that no matter how bad the news about her past, nobody will consider dumping her for somebody with a lot less baggage. This is why the personal attacks are far more important to the Clinton campaign than policy.

She just might get Trump elected.

For sure but it does mean something to the demos on the fence and independents

We simply don’t know, but let’s put it out there anyway, says the AP. What a scoop!

HRC will make minced meat out of him. He is an empty suit and a sweaty one at that. I can be wrong but I don’t see Rubio as a threat. The guy didn’t take his job serious enough to even vote half the time. Remember, we have the best asset on our side, Obama and then there’s Bill too. Whoever their nominee is we have plenty of ammunition and they can’t win without the black, latino and women’s vote

But he is one of Carly Fiorina’s “Warrior Heroes” and therefore above reproach. In fact, I’m pretty sure we’ll find out any day that Obama, Clinton and Saul Alinsky (you don’t really believe he died, do you?) colluded to convince him to pass classified material to his mistress.

Did you read the entire article. There is still non there there

There are people who were Sanders supporters until they read the emails. Works both ways.

Also, remember Snowden. He broke into government server, not Hillary’s. Was her server hacked? No. And we should all know by now they were NOT classified when she sent them. Judging from that, one can easily conclude, we classify far more than we need to. Remember this is about releasing government information now or later.

Show humility! Grovel more! Show us you’re abjectly apologetic! Admit you’re not so shit hot, lady! Admit you’re not all that! Bow down before all straight white men! Know your place, bitch!

Right-- and the person (Scooter Libby) who revealed that committed the crime.

NOT anyone who subsequently quoted news articles about them.

Same deal here. Whomever revealed the program to the NYT is guilty. Once it’s published, however, it’s friggin’ public knowledge.

And to continue to pretend that that’s a super-duper-top-secret just makes a mockery of the very real secrets that we DO need to protect.

Republicans have never respected internet security.

But they do know how to exploit and turntables. Remember Gonzo saying it was a non-issue when Republicans illegally read Democrat’s mail, and when confronted, Manuel Miranda was allowed by the press to make the issue about Kennedy?

The press not doing its job is still the issue. Even NYT.

This was about sending talking points by unsecured means. Also from the piece: Further, according to the Associated Press, the State Department said a review showed that the document in question was sent “apparently by secure fax, after all,” and was never sent to Clinton by email.
I don’t think this will be as damaging to HRC as you hope.

So Bush can walk away from declaring a senseless war that caused untold death and destruction but the Republinuts want to indict Hillary Clinton for not being an IT expert. Yes, that makes sense.

I am so sure that TPM will soon be printing the story telling the story made by Kirby just now and Clinton’s statement saying release the damned emails!!!

And none of that has changed.

Fool. You do not understand at all. Hillary never mishandled anything. The emails were NOT DEEMED CLASSIFIED at the time they were sent. Determinations as to what is classified change all the time. They are now considered classified (by some) in the context of what should now be released to the public. But they have been sitting on the State Department’s UNCLASSIFIED server for years as one article noted. Get a clue and don’t be fooled by a biased sensationalizing media.

Well thank goodness Sanders won’t be facing any more character attacks if he manages to hold off Clinton and win the nomination!

I mean seriously, do you even realize that you’re making the argument that Sanders isn’t capable of handling a national partisan campaign?

No, they never found out who committed the crime, Scooter was convicted in the cover up.

Agreed in general. But if for instance specific information is released, that is still a crime. For instance, had some of Brewster Jennings client list been released, that would still be a crime. And just because our Drone program in Pakistan is public, that does not mean specific info (like a strike target) is not criminal to release.

At this point, there is still zero evidence of any crime or unethical behavior by Hillary though. Nothing I have seen to date is in that category. The only category she has covered is “stupid” by using that private server for all emails. Real dumb.
