Coalition Of Blue States And Cities Seek To Intervene In Alabama Census Case | Talking Points Memo

Would be a steep climb for him, what with those dead-fish eyes.

Yes, but “large” is now generally the smallest size available. The previous “small”, “medium”, and “large” has now been replaced by “large”, “Xtra-large”, and “jumbo”. It reminds me of the time Coke introduced a 16-ounce bottle. They couldn’t call it “pint-sized” since that implied small, so it had to be known as the “half-quart size”.

It is so sad, that you are probably right in this. And it therefore IMO means that Putin has won, because we-the-people have lost faith in our institutions. The vote, the DOJ and the SCOTUS. We no longer will be surprised or astonished by highly skewed and blatantly unconstitutional rulings.

There is a slim chance that perhaps Putin could loose, and the country could be saved by a blue tsunami in 2020 that washes away all the members of the crime-family and cohorts in office and demolishing the government…and throw in an impeachment of Kavanaugh for lying under oath for good measure and begin to rebuild the country.

And native americans were counted by rule as zero persons, not so great a precedent. The better interpretation is that if the intent was to apportion based on citizens (white male landowners) they would have used the word “citizens”. Instead they said “persons”, with the intent and result that apportionment counts include women and children and serfs and other non-landed males.

So we should only count non-citizens…

In my view we are in this situation because liberals refused to acknowledge what has mostly been true for over forty years and became obvious with Bush v Gore, that the Supreme Court’s major reason for its decisions is what is good for the Republican party. That is anyone paying attention has known since Miliken v Bradley, where the Supreme Court in a 5 to 4 vote in accordance with Nixon shifting to “the southern strategy” effectively ended school desegregation and destroyed Detroit and seriously damaged most major cities that America has a Republican Supreme Court.

In Bush v Gore, the very reason Republicans on the Supreme Court gave for the Miliken decision was completely reversed so Bush having lost the election would still become president. That liberals to this day including MSNBC refer to the 2000 election as “Bush’s victory over Al Gore” is why Republicans are embolden at every step to spit on the constitution and due process. I mean is there any doubt how Republicans would have acted had the situation been reversed or even how Republicans would have reacted if the Supreme Court had followed the law and constitution and allowed all votes to be counted. The fact is Republicans are in this position because they refused to accept any ruling against them even when the ruling was obviously correct whereas Democrats have been quick to accept any ruling even when that ruling was obviously against the constitution.

They’ll add it to the $3.75 Mil that’s owed some cohort of plant workers for wage theft. (You understand, btw, that wage theft is just a civil matter, as opposed to embezzling or theft from employers, which is a crime.)

Here. A recent and fascinating read on the development of libertarianism and the so-called “states rights” argument as a cover to the fight against civil rights for blacks.

Well, of course not! The gops are all cheaters and liars. When can we embrace this simple but obvious truth and act accordingly?

I’m pretty sure that right now the Republican Brain Trust is cooking up ways to make it harder for women to register and to vote. It would fit their pattern.

Same thing happened in Georgia. I’m guessing the farm vote has become irrelevant to the rat wang.
