It’s really not defensible in any serious way to air these briefings without context. Providing that context can only be done by not airing the live version. There are only bad reasons to do that.

So far every trump dog and pony show (which ought to be Pence’s job) has led to drops, major or minor, in the dow jones ticker. Recently the village idiot learned it isn’t as bad if he waits for the closing bell. But it took a 35% or more loss for him to get it. Not that we aren’t in for more black days ahead. Genius my ass

WBEZ, Chicago’s NPR affiliate streams it live on their website rather than broadcasting and streaming it live. Meanwhile, they broadcast and stream live Gov Pritzker’s daily press conferences.

I love the guy with the beard that does the “signing” for the Pritzker / Lightfoot conferences. He just adds to the professionalism.

Do you really think ratings are through the roof though? I don’t watch them out of self preservation - its bad for my stress level at a time when I’m stuck in the house 24/7. And I’m sure I’m not the only one who turns them off.

Bad timing for me…just finished creating today’s videos for my students and was going to relax a bit with MSNBC. Just as I unmuted the TV I hear Katy Tur say they are in the 2-minute warning for the Trump Comedy Hour. I guess I will play video games instead…only a fool would watch this stuff live of their own free will, i.e. not as a job requirement.

Why do YOU have in bright red letters on the front page of your web site a top of the mast link to his current press conference? And, honestly, every time I am now on your site (I am a paid subscriber) I am beseiged by pro-Trump ads.
Be careful of what you accuse others of doing. I do not pay you money to see big flashing links to another of his campaign rallies or ads for him.

They could avoid some of this headache, by waiting Trump out and starting these briefings with the stars of this show: Fauci, Birx and Pence.

I just listened to Pritzker’s talk for today and damn! DAMN!! I like his straight forward talk. No bullshit, no me me me like trump. That was refreshing. Thank you! I needed that. Even though the news was not a glowing victory.
