Simple touching is not battery. It has to have a harmful or offensive component. But it lacks the violent aspect implied by assault. [IANAL, doing my best]

My point is she only accused him of battery. Not of assault. But many of the responses here were focused on the lack of ā€˜assaultā€™.

Not judging whether her claim is valid. Only that more folks should realize that using social situations instead of a knife is still no okay.

This video does not show any assault. At worst itā€™s an awful effort at a social kiss.
