The laws of political gravity! Good to see you again, lads, it’s been too long.
No fucking kidding - I’m pretty damn sick of “I voted the way I did because I’m a vindictive monster;” or “I’m voting how Trump tells me to…”
Snakes on a RWNJ plane!!
GQP: I’m going to throw a dead goat down the town well
… so I can complain that the community water supply is contaminated
WV losiNG a seaT = SacKler FAMilY conSPIRING with SOROS and BiLL GAtes to DO MURderiNG on RepublicaNS wiTH OXY to TURN WV BLUE.
That’s the funny thing, they’re always surprised when the GOP and Trump turn on them. They’ve watched Trump back stab dozens and dozens of people yet they’re nevertheless shocked when the shiv lands between their shoulder blades. They really don’t understand that none of them are safe, there’s never gonna be enough ass kissing to protect them from the wrath of Trump. That’s because Trumpism will always require new enemies and apostates to feed on in order to fuel their perpetual victimhood. Nothing anyone does will ever be enough.
And the greed and power hunger of many others.
Bud sadly, there appears to be a bottomless pit of new acolytes ready to emerge from the abyss to carry on the tradition as the old advocates are used up, denigrated and tossed aside.
A few thoughts on this:
-
The CBE was one of many shitty things Robert Moses did, just because he could
-
A similar mitigation project was undertaken in Boston with the depression of the previously elevated Central Artery; the elevated portion of the road was replaced with greenspace (Rose Kennedy Greenway)
-
That polluted air from vehicle exhaust will still exist, and it must be dealt with; might require ventilation towers
This is bound to stir up some grievance.
For better or worse, Reps are closer to the people they represent than Senators.
Couldn’t tell that by the way my Congress critter and Senators act. It still amazes me that there are Representatives that hold town hall meetings.
Funny, that. Just like:
Obamacare? BAAAAAAD!
Affordable Care Act? GOOOOOD!
Idiots all.
Does this guy even know the other people in his party? Have they met yet?
I was going to say, “They’re your friends, Dave, not mine.”
Green shoots, man. People in those rust belt areas need jobs bad. I sort of suspected this is how it would play out when push came to shove. In addition to its well-known liberal bias, reality has teeth and when denied enough will bite.
The cannibalism is kinda mesmerizing, no? Or is it just me?
The cannibalism is par for the course, what will be amazing if somehow the GOP can get even more Trumpy pols elected. And when they gain control again of the House, how out there the comments will become against their own pols that they deem not showing sufficient loyalty to Trump.
Let’s hope there are some good attack ads from the GQP primary that the Dems can use more broadly…

But in a little while they will turn on each other. So you’ve been warned to keep your popcorn supplies current and on hand.

I lived in Boston while the big dig was happening, but haven’t been back since they finally finished it.
How is it? Is the north end still the north end or has it turned into newbury st north?
It’s a wonder to me how large catastrophes and world wars can and do become democratizing events.
