He needed the hook. What a miserable human being. Good lord.

So what exactly happened to the Obama appointee in this role, again?

They donā€™t report weather out of Texas here at all, ever, unless a storm is moving straight to Amarillo. Iā€™m sorry itā€™s such a mess. It was a gloomy winter and spring in Dallas so this has to be wearing on folks - weā€™re used to a lot of sun.

About a month after we moved there it rained like it wanted to kill us. I was driving from Austin to San Antonio. I had never lived where it could rain that hard. We couldnā€™t even turn around. Where we had been was underwater.

I hope this can put this question to rest. Thank you for posting this.

The other piece of this puzzle is employer contribution for Social Security. Cutting it off after $107,000 saves business all those taxes on their mahogany row executives.

Business will never allow that cap to be lifted.

Damn! Itā€™s enough to turn a young person off drugs.

Whatā€™s amazing is that it was set where it is to gather from 80% of all wages and salaried money earned. But now the big salaries are so big, most of the salary money earned in the US is earned above the capā€”by not that many people.

Fuck off, Mitch. Nobody needs your input on this matter.

If he thinks he can log on Monday, because he hasnā€™t surrendered his equipment, just shows what a dolt he is. In addition to all the other things he is.

The cap is indexed. This yearā€™s cap is $142,800.

You may be right about corporations blocking total removal of the cap. However simply increasing the cap to $250,000 pushes the reduction in benefits off to something like 2075.

Bushā€™s head commissioner remained until his term expired. Obama nominated someone who was voted out of the Senate committee only to have Mitch fail to bring her name to the floor for a confirmation vote. Yup, some of that dangerous politicization McConnell uses when it suits him.

The weird thing is TFG could have said the same thing and had them cheering through the rafters.

A guy goes to prison and late the first night he hears voices calling out numbers, with uproarious laughter after. He asks his cellmate whatā€™s the deal, and he says, ā€œthere are only so many jokes, so weā€™ve catalogued them all and by simply calling out the # of the joke everyone gets it.ā€ The guy responds, ā€œmind if I try?ā€ ā€œSure go for itā€ says the cellmate, so he yells out ā€œ64!ā€ and the silence was deafening. The guy asks his cellmate what happened, and he says, ā€œSome people can tell a joke and some canā€™t.ā€

Yup. And Iā€™m also old enough to remember this bit of despicable performative assholery.

I am glad Biden shit canned this person at Social Security. From the actions taken by that head of that I have read about deserved to be fired.
McConnell whines about ā€œpoliticizationā€? Well that was the reason for this firing! Wake up Mitch.

Sadist asshole.

Yup. Thereā€™s no good reason for the cap and lifting it would allievate many concerns.

But somehow, whenever someone starts talking about making ā€œhard choicesā€ and needing a ā€œgrand bargain for entitlement reformā€, they never suggest having everyone pay tax on all of their income

Wow! Mr Pierce wrote perfectly my thoughts on Sen. Cotton. Well and truly done! Only I hesitate to write that way here as Mr Pierce did in his Esquire article as I donā€™t wanna get banned.
