Trying to get a goddamn plane out of Afghanistan, because you were a snitch for the United States and your life is dependent upon a person who represents the absolute worst of heaven AND hell.
We went over two weeks in may without delivery. When I went to fetch it (after calling to confirm that I could,) I got yelled at. “We don’t offer that service!”
The postmaster only wanted the name of the person who misinformed me, but, believe it or not, I never asked. (And I’m no snitch.)
I cannot even imagine how simplistic a mind has to be to walk that road. I hated Bush Jr. But on the other hand, a lot of things kept working and normally. Mitch is looking to turn any democratically led government into totally paralyzed entity. For spite?
As I was reading that comment, the world outside went dark. Like 10pm dark. I have been watching the NOAA radar consistently for days. It teases that it is going away. But today is turning into one long, agonizing good bye. I am trying to remember if I have seen weather like this here. Maybe early 70s and 2013. But even then we had spaces of sun and relief.
It remains unclear what the consequences of Saul logging on from New York on Monday will be.
The first thing that happens in a typical corporate firing is to shut down the ex-employee’s computer account immediately, unless there is a professional agreement to tie-up certain projects.
Since this is an inharmonious firing, Saul will not be able to log in on Monday… or Friday.
Um.no. Paying Social security taxes on your whole damn salary (rather than “just” the first $105,000) is the simple way to save social security. If it’s not a bipartisan effort, that’s on you, bub.
I’m certain that was done within minutes of the firing. Even before the page disappeared. It’s the digital equivalent of being greeted at the door with the cardboard box of personal items your secretary has been ordered to pack up just before your arrival and getting it in exchange for your company ID and the keys to your company car and then being escorted from the premises.
I think what frustrates Mitch and Grassley is that a) SCOTUS has ruled Biden has the right to do this. b). This is too inside baseball to interest average Americans who just want their checks on time, and now, that’ll actually happen, and c). It’s Social Security, one of the pillars of FDR’s New Deal, and one they’re salivating to pull down or privatize.
I agree with [@ChuckGrassley] This removal would be an unprecedented and dangerous politicization of the Social Security Administration.
The refusal to hold a hearing on a Supreme Court nominee was unprecedented and dangerous politicization fo the Supreme Court.
