If Trump is re-elected an emboldened SCOTUS, impervious to public opinion or policy desires, will roll back Griswold, Obergefell and Lawrence. If you think contraception, LGBTQ rights and same sex marriage are safe, established law you’re deluded. They’ll all suffer the same fate as Roe in Trump 2.0.

Read that this morning. Truth is, the media is owned outright, and anti-monopoly rules for media in rural areas and all small cities were gutted long ago.

The far-right has been toying with the idea of banning contraception for some time now (this goes hand-in-hand with the Great Replacement bullshit and the nonsense Harrison Butker was rambling on about in that graduation speech), and Trump has overheard bits and pieces of those discussions. Because he really couldn’t care less about policy at all, he just reactively agrees to things he assumes will make his base happy. His minders then got wind of what he said and reminded him that this is the quiet part that he isn’t supposed to say out loud until after the election, so then everyone walked it back. They keep telling us exactly who they are.
Yep, the only people who have a problem with her are people who don’t actually live in Fulton County. She’s been an excellent DA and the claims against her are as racist and sexist as they get. I learned the other night while watching Maddow that the GA Supreme Court has held that it isn’t even a conflict of interest for a married couple to work on opposite sides of the same case. Pretty sure they aren’t required to keep receipts either.
