“a Class H felony punishable by a fine not to exceed $10,000 or imprisonment not to exceed 6 years, or both,…”
… so, a bit more serious than littering, or a parking ticket

Top WI election denier, sits on top of the WI Elections Commission and another world class combover
Rober Spindell Jr.
Why not charge Trump as a co-conspirator since he was the person who was the beneficiary of this conspiracy and there is no way Trump was not aware of the fake electors scheme.
Just add pineapple.
Yeah … but it would be a good start - especially if they netted a couple of years in the Gray-Bar Hotel
A 4th offense OWI in Wisconsin is a Class H felony with mandatory penalties. In 2024, 4th offense OWI penalties include:
Someone convicted of a fourth-offense OWI in Wisconsin will lose their right to vote, own a gun, and participate in certain government programs. A felony on your record will also make it difficult to work in certain industries or have legal custody of children.
And what I’m asserting is that’s in no way sufficient punishment for attempting to steal a United States presidential election by means of an electoral college coup.
AGREE - but while inadequate in magnitude - Kenneth Chesebro - convicted as a FELON - probably losing his law license for multiple years - and serving time (I’d want at least 2 years - but the full 6 would be good) PLUS - living the rest of his life as a former convict…
… while not quite sufficient - would be a start -
IANAL, so for me, the charges are affirmation that those who are lawyers have confirmed my understanding of what I thought was surely illegal. Chesebro’s cooperation confirms it as well. Has he been cooperating for a whole year already?
I feel relieved, and the process will now educate me on the particulars. I don’t need completion of trials to know that so many in the gop/gop-adjacent have conspired in various ways to varying degrees, or have worked in tandem, to undermine US elections, suppress all votes, effect a hostile takeover of our nation, and employ what I see as stochastic terrorism on our people. Rat bastards. Should it turn out that it is perfectly legal to commit all of these acts in pursuance of insurrection and fraud on the U.S., concern about the next election will not be uppermost in my mind.
In Wisconsin no less …
Correct me if I’m wrong (I know you will!) but finding a known quantity who is also courageous and trustworthy must have been challenging. As I recall, the few others she approached first said something to the effect of “I wouldn’t touch that with a 10-foot pole.”.
I’m curious as to what exactly the “SCOTUS strategy” is that was mentioned in the article? Anyone?
There is a fourth, Ron Johnson.
Heigh-Ho, the Dairy-Oh, the Cheese stands alone….
And for the win! @garrybee
I’d give anything to see this guy, outside, during a wind storm.
And what about that pincer strategy by certain media companies, the rnc/gop, varied societies/foundations, the billionaire boyz, a large number of congresscritters, and the orange menace? Wrong case? Too soon? Can subsequent cases be reflected in new charges against these cretins?
I thought id seen other reporting that his cooperation has been…selective. Things like emails turning up that he did not disclose to the prosecutors he was “cooperating” with. I think he was cooperating like manafort cooperated.
I don’t think the feds can stop the states from going forward. Trump’s friends at the US Supreme Court might not be able to save the Cheeseman and the rest.
…“That, the complaint says, was done in concern with senior, unnamed Trump campaign officials.”…
Meant “done in concert”…right?
