Discussion: Trump Says He Thought Presidency 'Would Be Easier'

Correct me if I’m way off base here. But isn’t he admitting today that he is unfit, unhappy and unqualified for this job ? ? ?

And he has certainly lowered the bar to the sub basement of incompetents, idiots and fools the nation over who will think that they can be President too.

Honestly, I think that accounts for his apparently huge ass. Looks like diapers to me.

Well Mitch, whaddya gonna do with him now, shove the magical, ‘Instant President’ black capsule up his ass ? Don’t know if you’ve noticed lately Mitch but this circus is fucking crumbling. Perhaps you could find another idiot ?

So this is what we hear from the Agent Orange at 100 days. What a whiner. No curiosity. No intellect. No brains. Never reads a book. Never exercises, doesn’t eat right, no friends. No vocabulary. Self absorbed. Stupid but thinks he is the smartest person, has the best brain. No insight. No empathy.

Trump literally believed that all Obama did was golf, pose for photo ops, and sign executive orders. He really and truly believed that.

And that was what he believed was all he had to do as President.

Yeah, he will “grow into the job” in the same way a rare and aggressive cancer grows quickly until it destroys life.

On inauguration day, he signed the papers to establish his 2020 campaign organization. They are already fundraising, and undoubtedly a big chunk of the money raised for the inauguration ($100M) went directly into the re-election slush fund. He can also use 2020 campaign donations for anything he wants. I’m sure he’ll follow the ethical guidelines. /s

Also, his kids get to peddle influence all over the globe to beef up the Trump businesses through bribery and grift, expanding the real estate empire and selling access to an indolent but nominally powerful leader.

So, he could very well not quit, but just back out of day-to-day operations and just continue to rake in the dough as long as it’s profitable.

It boggles my mind as well. And it’s not just his treatment of President Obama, did he pay no attention to backlash W received? Maybe he just thought he’d get the honeymoon all the other presidents got in their first 100 days? Maybe it never occurred to him that part of the reason they garnered respect upon taking office is because they actually showed respect to others, reached across the aisle, and at least tried to keep their worst traits in check. Still, it’s pretty baffling that someone who launched his political career by treating his predecessor like a runaway slave expected to be treated with the respect and admiration he’s never shown others. It betrays a truly sick mind that believes he really is somehow deserving of special treatment.

“No conceivable reason to get up in the morning”- Costanza

Yeah - it’s like he has no memory of any other presidents but Obama, to start with, and it’s as if he has spent his whole life in Timbuktu. Presidents never get treated all that well. Obama was treated worse than most but good god, how he ever imagined that it was going to be some kind of annointing of a new pope when he won. Nonstop adulation and praise.

It’s really weird.

He’s already hired his own private guard. Plus, if he really wants a powerful secret army, well, he knows Erik Prince’s sister.

They should smile politely and say it’s in the shop for repairs.
