Discussion: NYT: Senate Intel Committee To Interview Kushner For Russia Probe

Jared looks like Damian Thorn grown up…

But will he be able to fit the hearings in? Wonder boy’s just been tasked with overseeing the US government in toto, after all – another brilliant Trump initiative, bound to work at least as well as tasking Ryan with the healthcare bill.

Great people. The best people.

Meanwhile, Trump leads nothing. He watches tv and plays with his phone.

Maybe he’s overseeing construction of Jared’s $5 million jail cell that Mexico will pay for…

It is possible that Nunes received his “information” from the WH. Its also possible he received it from someone laying a trap for him, or from someone who was illegally leaking information. Based on how his story has continued to change, it does seem highly likely that he received no actual documents, and was either told some things by someone, or allowed to review some documents, but not actually given them. This may become a key detail in the future for Nunes…as reviewing classified documents in a non secured/classified facility is a violation of protocols. This also raises a question that nobody seems to have asked…did Nunes at any point in his mad dashes, stop to inform any Intelligence agency about what he seen or been given?

The timeline is this…Comey was stonewalling Congress on providing detailed testimony. Grassley threatened to shutdown any more DoJ appointments until Comey did. Comey then had a private, Cone of Silence briefing with Grassley and Feinstein, Comey then agreed to a public hearing before the House Committee.

The night after that hearing, Nunes received a phone call, and immediately ditched his aides and car and disappeared for several hours/rest of the evening. He then showed up the next morning and gave a presser saying he had proof that Trumpers had been “incidentally”…but entirely legally…surveilled. He then ran to Ryan, had a private meeting with him, and then ran to the White House to brief them. Immediately after the White House visit, he held another presser on the White House lawn. And spent almost the entirety of the next day giving interviews and appearing on CNN…during which his story slowly started to change regarding the information.

So…one presser before he met with the White House, one immediately after. Its also maybe important for future reference to point out that there is no indication he met with Trump directly…only with someone(s) in the White House (plausible deniability).

OT: sorry if it’s a repost.

Manu Raju on CNN is now reporting that Devin Nunes was “on White House grounds” last Tuesday night when he disappeared for a bit. Nunes was “on the property” when no one could find him the night before he, in my opinion, obstructed the investigation. ON WHITE HOUSE GROUNDS.

So WH trying to get Nunes to carry water for the WH. Now we also know why the committee meeting was cancelled.

Are there Democrats on the committee who know how to ask questions–rather than make speeches? Kamala Harris was California Attorney General, but how many cases has she tried? To have an effective investigation, the senators–and this means the Democrats–have to be able to ask incisive questions and follow them up effectively.

I worry that the deals they are all making with the Senate Intel committee (Manafort apparently was/is making a similar deal this weekend) are going to be so watered down, and not under oath, as to be basically useless and showy wastes of time.

Also, I worry that the bigger points are going to be lost. Its not that they talked to Russians, or even that they lied about having such conversations (though that does create some serious clouds)…its what they talked to Russians about. Which, I have a hard time seeing these Congressional Committee investigations ever getting to.

A timeline needs to be put in place (one woman on twitter actually did a tremendous job of this…I forget her name atm however) that shows…“Conversation A took place on this date…the following day Russian took this action, or XXX money showed up in account Y” sort of thing. Because its pretty clear that if they are willing to commit perjury about the conversation even happening, they will definitely lie about the content of those conversations.

Going to prison seems to be a Kushner family tradition. Wonder how they find Shabbos Goys behind the wall?

Hope Hicks, from Ralph Lauren to so called prez spokesperson, but Manafort thinks she’s perfect.

Hope Hicks is incredible,’’ Manafort told The Hartford Courant in an interview. "This is her first campaign. She’s in her mid-20s, and she has shown incredible depth and breadth. I would never know this is her first campaign. She has an incredible skill set in dealing with the media.’’

Nunes is now admitting that he went to the White House. Wow.
He went to use the SCIF there. Can’t wait for today’s presser!

Now the latest (all this from Laura Rozen) is that Nunes was seen at the Eisenhower building on Tuesday night. First statement a clumsy lie to cover the fact that he took intel TO the WH for instructions?

Kushner’s close to Trump, IC wouldn’t have called him in if they were worried about tipping their hand.

Aand just like that, his new job disappears.

Kushner’s own father is a fucking sociopath and criminal, as is his father-in-law, the pathological liar and Narcissist-in-Chief. Anyone thinking Kushner is the common-sense character standing in the shadows of the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office, offering support and helping to create stability in the White House for this orange flambe’, has their head up their ass.

Inheriting money or being born into wealth doesn’t take a whole lot of brains and can’t change a deficient, selfish personality into one that suddenly becomes an altruist, an Einstein or a mensch of a human being. Jared Kushner has never been any of those things, even though the press on him over the course of the last year has been something more in line with those attributes than the real POS he really is. He’s been elevated in the press, I would argue, beyond his abilities from the beginning. I can recall several articles on him in the past, in mainstream media, that put him in a positive light and fawn over his ability in business thereby making him an indispensable asset to Trump.

The bar is set so low for this White House that apparently combing your hair, putting on a tie and shaving your stubble is a sign of normalcy and high functioning for these people. As if it should be for the rest of us too. Nahhh.
