They don’t care about what was done then. They have shown themselves to be big hypocrites before when it comes to comparisons with partisan moves the Republicans made in the past. Don’t expect them to stop that now.

My guess is the Fox News “legal scholars” are going to now argue that there needs to be a report from the AG or a Special Council before any impeachment process or some similar nonsense.

True, but for every GOP that makes this complaint, the Dems must respond with this. The Dems didn’t do a great job of managing the expectations during the hearings when the numbskulls on the GOP not only lied about GOP participation, but completely lied about the rules which THEY THEMSELVES wrote.
It’s time to stop playing nice with the GOP and call them out for the liars they are. Bring the damned receipts too.

Not exactly. Well the Clinton impeachment was on party lines the vote for an inquiry had significant wimp, I mean Democrat support.
So haddockbranzini is probably right, the GOP’s next excuse will be it is partisan.
But all that said, Trump and the GOP are losing the nation and they know it. The real question/danger is will it matter. That is the real question that will continue to play out through November 2020 is; has Trump and the GOP so corrupted the institutions of Government that America no longer has a functioning democracy.

She gave them time to ramp up this argument, get the buy-in from the rank and file GOP, and let them pull a few stunts using this argument as the backbone to their “process” arguments. now they are “all-in” holding a pair of deuces while Pelosi is sitting on a full house.
