“Wrong!” Trump Whines Over Fauci Testimony On COVID Surge | Talking Points Memo

Multiple times per day: person, woman, man, camera, TV
Trump is quite impressed with himself getting it 100% correct every time.

We are sympatico. I didn’t feel like you were quibbling. History may not repeat exactly but it does almost always rhyme. I believe TV and now Internet to be the most powerful forces mankind has created. It was possible to brainwash the masses in earlier times, but now it appears to be child’s play. It is hard to compare to any previous era which worked by print-only, horses, or sailing ships.

You don’t even have to be literate and these puppet-masters can reach right into your homes, saloons, Jiffy Lube and Doctor’s waiting rooms, hotel or business lobbies to stoke your fears. It might even be that the human race is made up of about a 40% ratio bedrock that is dominated by their fears over all else. Another 5-15% can be persuaded in certain circumstances. With today’s technology you can reach them everyday, if not all day, with images and sound (often contrived). The Masters of the Universe rightly made sure: No matter how ‘public’ and ‘regulated’ it was, that they eventually owned IT and the Regulators. Alternatives need to be smothered and killed.

How come you to be so wise in the ways of science?

I agree with a lot of what you said.

I recall tripping over Bloomberg ads in the lunchroom at work, mixed in with the soaps. And at home. I believe Senators Sanders and Warren raised quite a bit of money, and prominent ads. And all of these people deserve their backing, but… you’re right.

They promised to help the campaign, or the cause. Why are they withholding air support? Is it because they don’t feel that strongly about having a say on the Trump mess?

It’s a gift. A gift and a curse.

“Wrong!”
Always makes me think of Dana Carvey as John McLaughlin

Just so Antonio Carlos Jobim says it, or hums, or croons.

Not entirely true. As we have learned in the tragic case of Rep. Gohmert, the virus is also sometimes transmitted by breathing into masks.

I am sure we are 95% in agreement, and I wish I could comment better expressing that and not sound like I am picking nits.

I just see it as a lack of D coordination, clarity, purpose, strategic thinking, a controlling hand/playcaller, and killer-instinct. Pelosi is not that person, and it shouldn’t be ON her. I don’t see it as Sanders and Warren not playing well with others. The Republicans had it easy. No accountability, and no interest in governance. All they had was messaging. Hating-on-liberals, and a tear-it-all-down mentality. It worked with every campaign, in every race everywhere. Simple. Throw in a HRC, Soros, or Pelosi mention and Socialism. Yet still, they had coordination and discipline and absolutely no misconception about their goal and strategy. Destroy The Other using any means necessary, and damn any talk of policy or shades of grey.

I don’t understand how the Dems can miss the obvious. All Rs can be discredited with the same exact playbook now. Just pool your resources, and attack every single R using their obeisance to Chump. Focus on Senate races which are statewide, un-gerrymanderable, and hew closely to Presidential/downballot effects.

Thank you for characterizing this properly with the word ‘whine’. It’s not just Trump. The GOP has been whining and complaining for at least two decades. I’m sitting back here waiting for people to notice.

I listened to this again. Trump is a professional bullshitter and Hewitt is a professional opportunist.

Of course you’re 100% correct. But even with an :tangerine::poop::clown_face: Words have meaning. He’s revealing that he’s completely disconnected from any reality of human suffering, death, and medical reality. A “case” to him is a number. This is true for many politicians but very few like him are absolutely like that.
