It’s funny when someone’s a douche, and they’re wrong (or there’s a misunderstanding). The filibuster cannot be overruled on a case-by-case basis. Once it’s gone, it’s gone. It’s been incrementally stripped away – first for non-SCOTUS judicial appointments, then SCOTUS appointments (McConnell for Gorsuch). But it can’t be (ETA: or I guess more accurately, won’t be) overruled for one bill and then intact for the next the following week. The comment I was replying to explained that they’d “reset it to 51 for this bill” which I took to mean “for this bill alone” instead of permanently.
We’re probably saying the same thing but you felt like being a dick about it.
