The first shots in the second American civil war have been fired — at least, according to some right-wing groups that have sought to use recent shooting deaths during protests across the country as a call to arms.
This may not turn like they think it will.
In fact, it’s very unlikely.
Confederates in 1860’s had itchy fingers and thought they would surely win. Worst US war for casualties and devastating loss for the South.
I’m not generally an alarmist, but I have noticed that BLM protests in my small Eastern Oregon town–peaceful BLM protests, with all ages, kids, dogs, etc.–have now begun attracting counterprotesters armed with assault weapons. They were not showing up before this summer. That indicates to me that they think they have gotten the green light from several quarters for intimidation and violence. Scary.
I remember the Jade Helm conspiracy. It was a prelude to the truly awful Bowling Green massacre. 
You know what they say. The South shall fall again.
I do not know if it is a State Law, or an ordinance in my particular city, but it is illegal to carry firearms in the vicinity of a permitted demonstration. Seems like a damn good idea to me.
These guys will, or at least could, greatly benefit from the decision-making programs often run in prisons.
And what is Trump and his pals at Fox and OANN doing?

I find this rhetoric disgusting and ignorant. Those who cheer on a second Civil War certainly don’t understand the horrors of the first Civil War. If it were to happen they would lose but at a huge price for all of us in terms of loss of life and destruction of our nation. To so glibly anticipate civil war is vile and repulsive. Nobody should want more bloodshed.
These right-wing miscreants aren’t “Anti-Government”, they’re “Anti-Democratic Government” and “Anti-African-American Civil Rights”. The very freaks like those Bundy a-holes love it when government force is used to oppress minorities and rig the economy for white people. This nascent civil war has for 150+ years been festering in the twisted minds movement conservatives. They want a white-supremacist theocracy rather than a democratic republic. What they may end up being shocked at is how many liberals know how to fight. People who truly love this country and our Constitution will not sit by and let a bunch of regressed Neanderthals destroy what’s taken about 250 years to build.
Those evangelicals that keep supporting Trump, are going to find out that if the poo hits the turbine, neither trump or God are going to defend them and that individual gun ownership is actually a bad thing.
You can always tell Trump’s cowards.
They show up armed at peaceful events.
Or they carry a pistol or 2 along with an assault rifle to the supermarket…
