Dear Fellow Hivers,
It was two years ago today I lost my partner of 44 years. Camille’s death was sudden and unexpected. As I have slowly gotten my life back together one of the things I did was log onto TPM early every morning to read the news. It kept me going. (Not the news recently, but….)
And what also kept me going was the Hive Community. The comments, the pun chains and the maple syrup wars. Knowing that semi-anonymous voices all over the world shared concerns and passions made each day a little better.
One of the things I am doing to honor Camille is establishing an Endowed Professorship in Spinal Cord Injury Treatment and Cure at the University of Washington. And I have found that I must expand my reach in asking for donations. So, I am asking you, my fellow Hivers. Could you donate? Any amount you are comfortable with. No donation is too small. (Or too large!)
Another thing that makes a day a little bit better is when I see a new name on the Donor Wall. Your nom de Hive, your street name or just plain old Anonymous would make for a brighter day.

Great MM today, Colonel Kurtz. Especially liked the Bill-O reference to the podcast live show. Bummed I live too far away to make it work, but looking forward to hearing the show. A round of virtual egg nogs (or whatever is your pleasure) to all the fellow TPM’ers here. Rest up over the holidays. Apropos of Chris Murphy’s comments to Sargent, we’re going to need dry powder come January.

I was never a pro wrestling fan. Thought it was stupid. (If I was going to watch people hit each other and thump their chests, I’d rather go with the Three Stooges or Benny Hill.) I didn’t even know the term “kayfabe” until a few years ago, when I missed it on a trivia quiz.
And now it’s the world we all live in.
Sigh.
