At this point these yahoos are acting like a bunch middle-aged school kids who only care about how to make the adults in the room angry. I would not be surprised if this has something to do with the fact that they took out the magnetometers and they are allowing guns in the committee rooms, where they didn’t before. The Democrats raised their concerns about this and the Republicans think it is all a big fat joke. Then there is the State of the Union Address coming up where the Democrats are concern for Joe Biden’s safety, and this is starting to smell like the Purple Heart band-aids worn at the 2004 Republican Convention.

Over at Daily Kos there is an diary where the writer claims it is a FU to Ronald Reagan because twenty-nine years from today (February 2, 1994) Ronald Reagan lobbied and convinced the House to support the 1994 federal Assault Weapons Ban. They’re replacing their flag pins with the AR-15 pins to show their support to the NRA. In other words they’re a bunch of middle age school kids.
