While he is becoming more dangerous a part of that dynamic is his belief that we are less dangerous than he is. We must change his mind.

Journalists from CNN and MS Now belatedly granted access to White House after judge ruling
US news outlets MS Now and CNN have once again been granted access to the White House, Reuters has just reported.
The reinstated access was granted just hours after a federal judge ordered Trump to lift the ban. CNN has also just confirmed that they have been allowed back inside the White House, with reporter Betsy Klein being allowed to reenter on Thursday. She was previously denied access despite multiple attempts to enter the White House on Thursday morning.

t was reported in September 2025 that Velchik, a Harvard grad, admired Hitler while in school and once called Mein Kampf his favorite book.
Oyer noted that Hitler eliminated the free press in Germany and established state media.
“He praised Hitler for understanding the importance of propaganda, among other things,” Oyer said of Velchik. “Velchik also complained that he doesn’t like reading books written by women, which he was forced to do at Harvard.
“Adolf Hitler is a person who did not believe in the free press,” she pointed out, adding, “which is exactly what Michael Velchik admires about him. It is quite terrifying that this is the person that is now representing the Justice Department as senior counsel in litigation against the press.”
Neither the Justice Department nor Velchik immediately responded to messages from Mediaite seeking comment.

He doesn’t sound like an advocate for liberal democracy to me.
Also, he is assuming that he will never be brought to account, because in some way or other, he expects to hold onto power, directly or by proxy (see DJT Jr for prez.).
