In an unhinged interview Friday, the White House trade adviser Peter Navarro said the Chinese government is responsible for “every bad thing we’re experiencing right now” — but he couldn’t explain why COVID-19 cases are swelling in America while other wealthy nations around the world have begun to smother the disease.
What an interesting form of argument.

Shame on any citizen of Chinese or Asian ancestry who votes for Trump, especially the ones who justify it by saying “But I’m not one of THOSE Chinese!”. With each passing day, he further assures his own defeat. I’m not defending the Chinese government or its policies, of course, but this is just baiting.
I was watching Velshi yesterday when Navarro came on. I turned him off.
Stop inviting these people on to shows! If a person is just going to outright lie and doge questions the viewer is not ‘informed’ by this. The MSM is not doing some great service here. All they are doing is giving a platform for disingenuous actors to spread propaganda.
Politicians need the media just as much as the MSM needs them. If someone is just going to make up whatever bullshit they think will give them a ‘win’ for any question then they don’t deserve the media attention. No one is owed a platform. Either come on the show and play ‘fair’, or they don’t get to play at all. Right now there is NO incentive to not lie and spread bullshit in our media. The MSM needs to stop rewarding the lying. Make them have some consequences for lying by taking their camera time away.
If the Chinese are responsible for every bad thing that has happened to the U.S. recently, does that mean they are responsible for Trump becoming POTUS? I thought it was the Russians.

Yes, the Chinese government f’ed up (while Trump was complementing them on what a great job Xi was doing). But every other country, with the possible exception of Brazil, has contained the virus much, much better than the US. That’s on Trump and no one else.

Navarro is becoming more and more unhinged as the days go by. There’s really no reason to put this demented crank on television and give him a forum.
Over time this will become the “American Plague” and be remembered as such. Sure, it started in China and they royally fucked up in the beginning. But here in the U.S. we did so much more than China, or any other country, to magnify the problem through months of incompetence. China fucked it up for a couple of weeks, but got control of it within about two months after. We continued to fuck it up for many months after we knew what was happening, and in full view of the entire world.
