Abuse of power is more a category of activities that includes several crimes. Essentially Trump used the power of the state to obtain personal benefits without obtaining permission. People are saying Trump is a businessman unschooled in government but modern businessmen understand that your primary duty is to the owners and you can’t really use corporate accounts as your own. Unless you are the sole owner or an absolute monarch you have a duty of integrity to others be they shareholders, partners, or citizens. Even if you are in charge if you have violated that duty you have abused your power.
