I didn’t know they flew P-51s in Vietnam. Where I was it was all F-4s and A-6s.

And just think, if Santos hadn’t won the election (he was never expected to), then he probably would have gotten away with all of it.

I mean, seriously, who would have looked at his finances if he’d lost? Who would have given a Republican losing in New York, as would be typical, a second look at all?

Campaign donations can be spent at will in our system, and quasi-arms length PACs can take care of the rest.

We got the government the Right needs to hold power while in the minority. If people voted their interests, that is, were not brainwashed by a church or propagandized by media monopolies in TV, radio, and print, the GOP would get 20% of the vote countrywide or less.

It take a village. A village of shites.

When I was a kid, we lived a few miles away from Lambert Field in St. Louis where McDonald had the plant that made the F4 (F101, etc). My friends and I would drive over there and sit on the Mississippi reviver levy to watch them take off over us. Loud!

All this George Santos stuff is just a fiendish plot by the deep state to keep us from talking about Joe Biden’s age.

The P-51 was withdrawn from service in 1957, according to Wikipedia. The last combat use by U.S. forces was probably in the Korean war.

The Douglas A-1 Skyraider was still used in Viet Nam for close air support. It could fly for ten hours and carried a whole lot of armaments.

I spent some time in my youth on a large government undertaking in Southeast Asia. It would often get noisy at night, but when we could we would wander over to the runway across the street and watch them take off. Three at a time, as soon as they were airborne it was full afterburners and straight up to avoid attracting unwanted attention. Quite a sight.
