I feel so bad for the Capitol Police officers, especially those of color. This sounds like Jan. 6 meets Charlottesville. They’re still dealing with the trauma of Jan. 6 and now this… I hope the other officer hit by the car will be OK.

Now that you mention it, one of my first thoughts was that the person may have been trying to distract from the Floyd trial, although I also suppose it may have been someone triggered by the horrific scenes we’ve all been watching, of a black man being murdered - with impunity - for no reason.
