Any vengeance the Maggots may take on the first whistle blower is meant to be in service of forcing all future whistle blowers to lay low. When you have dozens if not hundreds of crimes under your administration’s belt and dozens if not hundreds of criminal Republicans to shield, suppressing future whistle blowers is the top concern. Since the issue the Whistle Blower pointed to is “a hoax and a sham,” why would they care about the Whistle Blower so much? It’s only for revenge. The first thing they want to know about him is who he voted for in the last election. That could help them discredit him as a partisan or worse a Trump hater… After that they will set out to destroy his life, work, family. They are like mad dogs salivating but they can’t reach their victim.

The primary “good” in outing the whistleblower to Trump and his enablers is – obviously! – to intimidate other potential whistleblowers and keep them silent about the crimes they have witnessed. They will do everything they can to punish and smear the whistleblower and paint a target on his/her back. Once a name is given out – and it doesn’t even need to be the correct person! – the unhinged Trump base will threaten them and their families or even physically attack them. The plan is for this to scare other potential witnesses.
The second “good” from the exposure is to provide a target for a massive smear campaign to “prove” he/she is lying about an innocent Trump and is part of a partisan Deep State attempt at a coup. The talking points are already in play, and this move is supposed to boost them and keep the Big Lie going.
Intimidating other witnesses and discrediting the first whistleblower: these are are both powerful incentives for the Trump regime to out the whistleblower. And again, it doesn’t even have to be the right name; any target will do. This has nothing to do with truth or even common sense, it’s another targeted lie.

Also by focusing obsessively on the whistle blower, they take attention away from the political crime that initiated the impeachment. That is, the phone call. Oh let’s not talk about the phone call between Trump and Ukraine President Zelensky where Trump tries to make a deal.
