I’m glad Representative Jordan has said he has nothing to hide. That probably means he knows it has already been established… Anyway, he does need to face questioning under oath. Be polite, but not respectful, as respect needs to be earned, and he certainly has done nothing to earn any respect.
At some point in the future, historians will have a field day with these events. I’d love to know when House Majority Leader Pelosi (with all due respect to the Democratic Representatives and pundits who wanted to push her aside as being either too old or a part of the problem, I can’t say it enough that I am glad she is in charge at this moment) and others found out and saw the Donoghue notes, and if they then played the Republican leadership and members regarding membership on the House Jan 6th Insurrection Committee, etc. among other things.
Expect the Republican Party to engage in significant efforts to kick up dust and try to hide behind protected speech arguments. I just saw an interesting article that discusses some of the arguments and counter arguments:
It’s an opinion piece but is reasonably argued. Worth reading for those interested in the landscape to come.

I am sure that Gym will have a problem remembering most events of that day as the truth is terribly inconvenient.
And I can say that with reliable accuracy regardless of not even knowing what was said.

Years ago I worked with this kind of thing. So I’m comfortable saying Jordan is in up to his chin. EVERYTHING he says is in defensive tone. He has an answer for EVERYTHING and all of are platitudinous or worn out heard it a million times before crap. NO ONE that is innocent uses phrases like “I have noting to hide”. Because they don’t have to so it does not come to mind. And you don’t talk about “things to hide” unless that’s on your mind. Jordan needs a coach. He sucks as evasion.

I’m sure we’ll be hearing lot more from the trumpanzees and Qcumbers about how they’re the true supporters of the police.
The spate of suicides since Jan. 6 makes me really want to know why. This has to be an important story. Are they getting hounded to death by the trumpanzees? This needs to be looked into.

I spent the last few days gaming out what Jim Jordan will do. I don’t think a sitting member of Congress could refuse a subpoena from a congressional committee. It might be possible legally, but not politically. I think that the most likely scenario is that he shows up {Edited) and then essentially claims that he has amnesia: he will simply regrettably be unable to remember any details concerning his conversations with Mr. Trump related to the January 6th insurrection. He isn’t a total idiot so he won’t perjure himself, but he also will provide no specifics. He will look like a dishonest weasel, but I doubt he will lose much sleep over that!

I agree and expect that. But I also suspect that Pelosi et al. will counter with, “Well, let us help refresh your memory based on evidence…” or something like that. You bring in the big ones when you already know the answers to the questions you’re asking and catch them in lies. Drip, drip, drip…

So why would Jordan and the rest of the T disciples tell the truth in the hearing? First it may be questionable if they even understand the word truth, second why would he all of a sudden tell the truth in a hearing?

Exactly. I remember exactly what I was doing on January 6 when I turned on the TV to watch live as the terrorists attacked. It was a Wednesday around noonish. I was responding to a funding opportunity for a veterans organization I work with. I was about to work on the budget but then I couldn’t focus. I also remember what I was working on September 11 when a friend called to tell me to turn on the TV. Yet, Gym remembers nothing?

I’m torn on Gym Jordan one the one hand I’m sure he is guilty as hell but on the other, he is so stupid he may not know it.

I could be wrong, but I think he wants to be taken seriously (Even though he is a joke to most of us…). I also think that he doesn’t want to look weak and defensive: as though he is afraid or running from something.
