White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany on Monday continued deferring to local officials on mask-wearing requirements, even after Vice President Mike Pence finally encouraged people to wear facial coverings to slow the spread of COVID-19.

“If you think about it,” she added, “that orange pancake make-up really counts as a mask, doesn’t it?”

They are so stupid… they should have encouraged face mask and the sold them #MAGA face masks. It would have been both the right thing and a slick campaign ad, and a huge money maker as well… So much for the Greatest Businessman Ever. Or the oh-so smart Ivanka…

Actually, without parachutes, soldiers arrive on the ground faster.

This is what happens when you cut educational funding for fifty years; tolerate ‘Home Schooling’ and claim predatory greed as an American virtue.

General Duty Claus- but under republican regimes OSHA’s been de-fanged like all the other ethical and effective government agencies.

The problem is that wearing a mask is not a personal choice for your own safety. If it was, I would have no problem agreeing but THE MASK IS FOR THE SAFETY OF OTHERS.

The stupid, it kills your neighbors.

They have a mask but it’s only good for hiding the ugliness.

That was the aim of Republicans all along - to transform the US into a Banana Republic.

McEnany said: “He encourages people to make whatever decision is best for their safety,

The best decision to make for my safety is to ensure that everyone else is wearing a mask. The best decision to make for others safety is for me to wear a mask.

It is possible that Trump, McEnany, and others in his “administration” do not understand the distinction. It is possible, likely even, that they are lying as usual. It is possible, almost certain, that they simultaneously hold contradictory opinions. I can’t decide.

She lies convincingly…

So why are WeThePeople paying her just to lie to us and defend the indefensible?

This must have been a doozy. She was asked if Trump had anything to say to Putin and she said no, because he hasn’t yet been briefed on this bounty business because guess what? There’s “no consensus among the intelligence community” on the whole thing and “there are, in fact, dissenting opinions.”

For what it’s worth, almost the entire time she said that she was looking down and to the right. Maybe she was looking at notes. Or maybe this is such an astounding lie she did it unconsciously. I’m sure I don’t know.
