BUT if Trump gets the GOP nomination in 2024, he’ll sit down for a steak dinner with him and get behind the nominee.

Manchin found it in the goodness of his heart to overlook Kavanaugh’s downside. Yet Tanden is a bridge too far.

For Manchin the fact Tanden is woman is the bridge too far. If Manchin gave a fig about character and fitness he would not have voted to put a credibly accused attempted rapist and admitted drunk on SCOTUS.

The GOP lets a half million Americans die in a pandemic, lets people freeze to death, fails for months to pass the standard stimulus of every other developed country to deal with the covid economic shock, permits the destruction of natural services from groundwater to the clathrate formations, but suddenly has a thin skin about defaming vampires (which may only be a fiction thing) with Ted Cruz’s name. If the implication is that Ted Cruz “sucks,” there may be a point. The exsanguination feeding process of vampire bats is pretty complex, and involves venom secretion to move things along.
