WH Coronavirus Task Force Briefing | Talking Points Memo

My local NPR station, KUOW in Seattle, has stopped airing these briefings because of the lies:

“KUOW is monitoring White House briefings for the latest news on the coronavirus — and we will continue to share all news relevant to Washington State with our listeners. However, we will not be airing the briefings live due to a pattern of false or misleading information provided that cannot be fact checked in real time.”

The GOP corporate welfare will likely waste more on one company than on the sum total of overpayment to the unemployed.

ETA that’s just an educated guess based on known history.

Wow. And great.

The OVERWHELMING problem of Trumpism is not Trump.

Trump is an insane, fat pimp.

The problem has always been the people behind him. A presidential administration this bad, with a normal Congress, normal SCOTUS, normal A.G. would have been over before 2018

Not clear to me what point you think is being missed:

O that’s cool actually. I’m glad you have a ponytail. :grinning:

I hate to say this in a way but I missed a haircut and mine is getting below my waist in the middle and I want it cut so bad hahahahahaha At least I can just put it in a braid or ponytail and forget it and that part it is a good thing.

Simply the first head which implies that Sanders started this fight. I am full agreement with him that the four GOPers are monsters. Not an attack on Bernie.

It’s 5:00. Do you know where your President is? Do you really care?

He’s touching up his orange makeup. Gotta make sure those white circles around his eyes stand out on camera.

But here’s the headline that I saw:

Bernie Sanders threatens to hold up coronavirus bill after 4 GOP senators push to cut unemployment aid

Didn’t think so but it wasn’t the point of my question, either.

Every second he’s away from that mike represents an improvement in our overall effort.

Clearly, NO.

First words out of his mouth is the hour, minute and day he’s signing that damned bill.

He may’ve already done it, but I’ve seen nothing on it. It needs to get done.

Today.

He looks like that on purpose?! I thought it was them new fangled lightbulbs that made him look that way. That would explain why they don’t make anyone else looks that way.

Fair enough. It was changed on my Google News feed to read “Sanders’ fight with GOP Senators over unemployment aid threatens to delay coronavirus stimulus”. As you point out, the actual headline is differently worded. This second one (for a different link) is better:

Handful of GOP senators threaten to delay Senate coronavirus bill over unemployment payments

Hope we’re still good, Cervantes.

My hair is growing back after chemo, but it will be awhile before I need my hairdresser. I have eyebrows and eyelashes again, which is great, but, having not plucked in six+ months — damn, it hurts.

BTW, had the lumpectomy, and no clinically detectable cancer. :+1:

Dear hubby got an essential letter at work today. He’s to show it to anyone who tries to impede his way to work - issued by the Red Cross.

MN went on two week stay at home order today and his lab is in St. Paul.
