WH Blocked Annie Donaldson From Testifying More Than 200 Times

Today.

" Topline: Deutsche Bank workers were photographed Monday leaving the bank’s 60 Wall Street location clutching white envelopes widely believed to contain severance packages as part of a restructuring designed to eliminate 18,000 roles by 2022."

We discussed this yesterday.

Lots going on right now, wouldn’t you say? And we certainly aren’t privy to most of it right now.

Congress has an unused-for-decades jail cell in the basement. They need to dust it off and repaint it and put it to good use.

Of course! They merely need to call the U.S. Marshals, who do that job for them.

The U.S. Marshals, which are part of the Department of Justice, under Barr, in the Executive Branch under Trump…

…I see the problem here…

Authority without the means to back it up is meaningless.

That’s for sure.

I’m not expecting much from Mueller. A lot of bureacratese to run out the clock, while leaving it to Congress to do the heavy lifting from here on. Maybe Barr going after the investigators will get his back up, but he seems to be one of these DC establishment types who value comity above all else.

He may be a genuine war hero, but my fear based on his record is that he’s a political coward. Barr basically accused him of that.

Yet, financials are not going to tell us what Hicks, Donaldson & McGahn can.

We cannot expect the American taxpayers to fund this obvious waste of resources that be better used by the weapons industry.

Stalling can also be used as an effective weapon and tool. They most likely don’t yet have all the evidence necessary to make any charges stick. Pelosi said from day one of her speakership that she “doesn’t want to impeach Trump. I want to indict him”. They need his tax returns, first hand testimony and hard evidence to indict or impeach. By the end is summer recess, they should have all that, then some. His state tax records were only made available today! I’m frustrated too. We all are. However, if we don’t do this the right way, it’s all for naught. We’re only going to get one shot at him.

But those cases will set the precedent for whether the House can enforce its subpoenas against the Trump administration and others despite his bullshit executive privilege claims.

You don’t need to put every single possible case through the wringer, you just need to get the Supremes to create the direct legal precedent to open the gates.

Yet, they never voted for contempt. Barr said don’t hold me in contempt and I just MIGHT give you other docs you want from DOJ.
Nadler backed off.
No contempt vote
And
No DOJ docs.

But we do know this and Chairman Neal is dragging his feet "

" Are You Kidding Me?’ Frustration Grows as Powerful House Democrat Refuses to Accept New York Offer of Trump Tax Returns

“As numerous tax experts and members of Congress have already laid out, there is no reason for Chairman Neal to hesitate to use this law once it is enacted.”

LAW IS NOW SIGNED,NO EXCUSES CHAIRMAN NEAL !!!

"ALBANY — Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed a law Monday authorizing the release of state tax returns to a handful of congressional committees, opening a new avenue for Democrats to get their hands on some of President Donald Trump’s closely guarded finances. "

You have to admire Kirkland & Ellis for promoting an ethic of perseverance. Of course, not being able to take no for 200 times in a row starts to look kind of rapey, or at least, creepy.

That’s like asking for ice water in Hell.
SCOTUS is allowing this lawlessness.

No, they voted TO hold Barr in contempt.

The criminal contempt vote itself was not held!

I hear Louise Mensch was granted double-secret authority to lock people in the Capitol basement cell.

But not until the Senate sergeant-at-arms releases those Supreme Court justices he’s holding there.

Sad!
