Yep. You’re right. They could come up with additional ones for their own reasons, though! (which crosses many of their minds a lot, clearly, although their proposals generally don’t get very far.! That’s what I was thinking about but what I wrote was a muddle.

It’s difficult to predict the final budget bill that will pass. But I think it will result a lot of pain, hunger, misery and death due to various benefit cuts. The poor, elderly, sick, disabled and youth will shoulder a disproportionate share of the damage.

Yep. Here where I live, the Farmer’s Markets open Memorial Day weekend. Nice reminder that a lot of Americans will be shit outta luck if this bill passes, not just temporarily inconvenienced, but for years to come, and as far as the eyes can see to pay off the huge hole it will create. It will add on another $36 Trillion to our National Debt and close to $4 Trillion in deficits to pay off that debt over the next 8 years.
I’ve personally been on both Medicaid (related to a disability) and had SNAP benefits (once many years ago) during some difficult periods in my life. Its bad enough how onerous the reporting requirements can be in some states, (MI isn’t as bad as others it seems), but these Republican Pukes want to make it even more onerous for the average American.
I also was able years ago to get WIC when I was pregnant with my son. That program is positively wonderful, a g-dsend for expecting and new moms. I just don’t get it. The cruelty is sickening with what they’re trying to do and will most likely succeed at.
Gawd only knows what they will do to Medicare.
They just want a lot of Americans to just die. Why that is, I have no idea, because most low and middle income Americans are where they get most of the revenues the gov’t likes to spend for all the pet projects. Without us, the country will be truly fucked. All we are is cash cows or cash machines to loot and give to the rich. The pukes have been doing this for years but this has to be the worst yet.
