House Democrats on Thursday demanded that the Trump appointee at the helm of delaying President-elect Joe Biden’s access to resources needed for the presidential transition process brief lawmakers and possibly testify in public.
If Georgia certifies today (and Kemp plays his role to approve) then this is over. If there’s a delay of some kind, the drama continues.
As truly inept as Rudy’s efforts have been at trying to steal the election, one can only hope that he’s solely in charge of planning Fat Nixon’s Pardon-palooza.

This should have been done within 5 minutes of this troll refusing to do her job. I am glad they reference legal consequences. This is a good step, they better move into the next without further delay or hesitation and show that their sternly worded letters are backed up by appropriate consequences.

Unfortunately, the Dems “demanding” will have no effect. How many people have they requested, demanded, subpoenaed to appear who have simply said no. Or said nothing at all and just refused to appear?
Calm people. It’s happening. There is a giant glop of treason from each and every Republican, but it is happening. Fortunately there is also President-Defect’s usual flurry of incompetence and his team of legal clowns. Even CNN finds Rudy too bananas to show.
What’s your reasoning here? I’ve seen and heard nothing from the campaign, the administration, or the GOP congress that would make me think that the certification of Georgia will suddenly change Trump’s or his enablers’ behavior.
This train can stop at Kemp?!? I thought it was just the Secretary of State who signed off. I think I’d better find the antacid if I’m going to get through this day.
The scary part to me is that trump called two elections officials and got them to try to change their certification votes and more importantly he summoned the two top GOPers in Michigan for a sit down. He is demanding they throw out the election results in Michigan and find willing folk to act as trump electors for the Electoral College vote. They might do it. Michigan’s 16 votes aren’t enough but trump may do the same in Georgia and here in Arizona. Both very red states. I am sure our Governor would help trump. Arizona, Michigan and Georgia’s electoral votes if changed would be enough… trump would do it. He would destroy anything to stay in power, safe from indictment.
Take a page from Trump’s handbook and sue to get the information.
The congressional oversight powers need to be rewritten. Trump has proven that a government based on norms and good will is a government of fools.

To everyone flipping out on Twitter right now. Stop. Breath. And let’s go over what’s going to happen. Tomorrow, the electoral result in Georgia will be certified. Monday, the results in Michigan and Pennsylvania will be certified.
THIS NEEDS TO BE SPREAD FAR & WIDE - it is not the ultimate “kill shot” but it is difinitive movement in the right direction - far more blunt than might have been expected from Mitt … and that is a good thing !
