“Will boos and hisses for Trump at RGB event cause backlash against Democrats? Let’s ask some Park Avenue billionaires, GOP consultants, and economically-anxious WWC diners in Prostatia, Mississippi. Maggie Haberman and Peter Baker are on the case!”
Followed by Glenn Kessler: “Four Pinnochios for Democrats who claim that Trump’s rush to appoint a new Justice before the election shows he has no respect for RBG…”
Ha, indeed you did, just barely…but I’m going to have to claim that 1 minute was fraudulent and take this to the court for them to decide whether time really works the way you’re claiming…
Followed by a BREAKING NEWS pinnochio report (four, naturally), that Biden is lying through his teeth about the color of the wagon he had when he was five. He claimed to reporters that it was a Red Flyer, photos dug up from relatives reveal that it was a brown wooden one.
And what I heard chanting at him were women’s voices. Someone told him it was an obligation and it would increase his cred with women. Fat chance of that.
I agree. Even with the mask on, the look on his face was, well, the closest descriptor I can get to is anger, and this was even before the chanting started. Then again, the general hubbub before the chanting started didn’t sound like shouts of approval either, so maybe he was hating on the crowd from the beginning.
Once while a passenger in rural Iowa, this happened just ahead of us. We were being driven by a bank president from a nearby town - he stopped and unleashed a stream of invective at the driver of the other car, who rolled down his window and mildly said, “But everybody knows I live here.”
I’ve seen a couple of clips of this and in one the crowd is said to be booing, although it’s pretty faint, and eventually you hear the “vote him out” faintly as well. It seemed to depend where you were—those steps are a pretty big area. It would make sense, though. He appears, people boo, and then the chant starts and is taken up.
