Watch Former POTUS Donald Trump Repeatedly Plead The Fifth

Paul Theroux on how to survive in the NYC subway at about that time…

You have to go in with your eyes flashing.
You have to look as if you’re the one with the meat cleaver.

Maybe so, but it works for me.

I thought it was “always be watching, but never make eye contact”.

I was there for school from '78 - 80. Violence was very high at the time, and there always seemed to be some new violent lunacy breaking out. Only thing scarier was the prospect of not graduating, and that got me through.

28% is pretty much what Nixon had when he resigned.
As much as I thought him a criminal I’d take Nixon every day over a known criminal.

All true. I was spit on and pissed on. Totally random. It was not a good time.

We were there at the same time. I was working on my MPH. Had no money, lived in a shithole place on the way way way upper east side. Subway tokens were like gold coins. What a time it was. But I wouldn’t exchange it for anything. Taught me so much.

The jury will get to see it. Lardass put himself in a corner, figured he had it figured and once again reality bites him in his fat pale ass.

I’ve been looking at this particular pic each time I look at NYT for news updates on whatever’s being reported This pic of Santos with his posse has been up all day, and I can only say he picks his aides based on what they weigh because one of them makes him look less fat.

I didn’t know it was a fake, looks real, that’s the beauty of it. trumpet did go to Studio 54 a few times from all accounts, he must have realized the first time neither he nor Ivana didn’t fit in.

A jury is not going to tolerate his attempts to taking the fifth. Prosecuting attorneys will see to it he’ll be asked questions which he has to answer. But there’s the old dodge, “I don’t remember” which a jury will also find annoying at the very least.

It must also occur to you that we could’ve had brainy HRC if not for the EC. She won 3 million more popular votes than he did.

Every damn day I think of that.

It broke my heart and I’m not sure it’s healed yet.

Trump, with his “Same answer” could have a special Kiosk in the Mall of Avoiding Accountability.

Devine would have definitely been slumming.

I still can’t believe we got out of that more or less in one piece, as a nation. People, some didn’t.

I believe that’s incorrect. In criminal cases, you don’t have to testify against yourself and it can’t be held against you. In civil cases you can’t be compelled to testify, but your refusal to testify can be held against you.

This is an AG investigation, but a civil case. I don’t know which rule would apply, but they’re being accused of something, so my guess is the criminal standard would apply.

If the civil standard applied, the prosecuting attorney from the AG’s office could point out all the information that TFG thought would incriminate him.

I actually saw Divine perform on stage (as a singer) at an after hours club in Chicago called Medusa’s (it was right next to the ‘el’ tracks on Sheffield Ave. in Wrigglyville, one block north of the Belmont station, but is no longer there). This was when Divine was touring and promoting his album “Maid in England”.

Kinda surreal, but fun memory watching Divine sing the cover of Frankie Valli’s song “Walk Like a Man” while pulling a rubber prop fish out of “her” lingerie on stage, and tossing it into the crowd at 2 in the morning.
