meanwhile in TX, FL, TN, GA the crisis grows…

And the few remaining hospitals in these states and other Red states which refused to extend Medicare under Obamacare will probably go belly up due to the expense of Covid-19.

And when they come for a bail out, tell them to talk to their republican governors and legislators who played politics with their voter’s lives…

I suspect we will see this kind of state and local government response throughout the US. All those empty stores in an almost empty mall would make a good location for an emergency hospital. Easy to get in and out and around. Large enough to set up negative pressure environments with HEPA filtration for those in isolation. Plenty of power already fed to the building. It’s better than MASH tents.

What crisis?

You will have a very, very low positive count if you just don’t test people /s

My county has 35,000+, mostly elderly, tRump lovin’ republicans. (that voted twice for Obama - go figure.)

71 people have been tested - 1 confirmed case.

Keep also in mind that trump/republicans will not allow a special enrollment for the ACA/Obamacare. trump/republicans are still working diligently to eliminate the ACA/Obamacare in its entirely. Like Moscow Mitch said, “eliminate it by branch and root” more or less. Doesn’t get clearer than that, the evil barstards.

So would the Trump hotels now in disuse.

Of course they would have to be thoroughly sanitized and freed of bedbugs…

… as well as have the air freshened as the properties had previously only been used by assholes.

Nothing “rural” about Yakima. It’s a city of nearly 100,000 in a county of around a quarter million. It’s the heart of fruit production in Washington and is renowned for its apples.

Not to mention its roof racks! /s

Sounds like District 2 here in Maine.

True that. And don’t forget Yakima Canutt, although he was actually from my neck of the woods in the Palouse.

Only in states with Dem governors.

God forbid a Republican governor commandeer anything in private industry. That would make us (clutches pearls) Socialist!

Ya! It’s a real metropolis, just like Moses Lake!

Come on. The whole valley is one big orchard and vineyard. There is one really great restaurant, however. Cowiche Canyon. Sorry waaaay OT.

I pass an abandoned hospital on the way to my mother in law’s. It closed several years ago and is about an hour north of Raleigh nc
Wonder if it will be reopened?

Holy shit (well title on main page said Pentagon ordered 100k body bags) you have to scroll down to second story on that page

And really strange to see a nutrisystem ad in the middle of an ABC news special on the virus

The still running E.D. and Viagra ads crack me up when considering how even more absurd they are in the big picture of things. We’re in the middle of a world wide pandemic, but you can still get your hard ons gents*! Priorities!
*“If you have an erection lasting more than 4 hours, call your physician.” Geez, as the fuck if…“Sorry to bother you at 3am Doc, but…I have this problem…”
As if you have your Doc’s cell phone number…also too.

I remember someone on a late night show when it first came out saying if they had an erection lasting 4 hours they were going to call everyone they knew! Probably like Rodney Dangerfield!

I know what RURAL means, REPUBLICAN.

I don’t give a flying damn what happens to REPUBLICAN scum.

This is a HOAX, let them suffer the Orange Death … they voted for it.

We must be rid of Republican filth if we are ever to have a functioning Government again.

A GOOD Republican is a DEAD Republican.

LOL…loved Rodney Dangerfield and that sounds really familiar and that’s a Rodney line if ever we heard one!

I don’t mean to make light of the desire for virility, especially with people living longer in 20-21st centuries. I’m cool with that. And I understand TV commercial ad placement contracts are in place weeks/months ahead of time, can’t be helped.

Stil absurdly funny though…
