Rep. Don Beyer (D-WA) announced on Tuesday that he will sequester himself in his home in Washington state after having dined with a friend who ended up testing positive for COVID-19.
This is very important. College campuses and military bases are both major vectors for the spread of infectious diseases and COVID19 would go through them in a very short time.
One way to make it âall goodâ is to not test. If you donât test then your ânumbersâ donât look so bad. For instance, in CA there were 3500+ people on the Grand Princess. They tested 45 of them and 21 came up positive. Youâd think theyâd be interested in testing a few more, especially those that are already symptomatic, but no.
Gene Qin of San Francisco, who was still aboard the Grand Princess Tuesday morning, said his 73-year-old wife Dianne has run a fever and been coughing since last Thursday. She has not been tested for coronavirus, much less given priority to leave the ship, he said.
The 1000 or so that theyâve sent to Travis AFB are also not being tested, theyâre just taking their temperature every morning. I guess the only people theyâre counting are the ones who must be hospitalized. Good way to keep the numbers down. Now, I wonder who is making these decisions? My guess is the Feds involved in moving these people around, not the State people.
Some passengers were not American and have been flown home. Those werenât tested either. I guess that Canada and wherever can test them and count them in their numbers. Arenât we clever?
