Good. This should be a promise across the board and part of our platform. The GOP and white Christian nationalism must die.

“…despite Rep. Adam Schiff’s (D-CA) adept leadership of the argument, all signs point to an easy acquittal at the hands of Republican senators.”

WTF, ALL signs have ALWAYS pointed to an easy acquittal, regardless however adept any Dem presented the case. Sheesh.

Great, another reason I’ll be voting for her in the primary. Sadly, if Biden gets the nomination and wins the general, we’ll be facing ‘it’s time to look forward, not back’ once again so that Republicans know 100% they can pull all the same shit the next time a republican is president. I’m fairly certain Mayo Pete also falls in that category. Bernie, who knows? He’d probably pay lip service to justice, but be too focused on his lifelong pet projects.

It would seem should Dems win the Presidency in 2020, a good start on sabotaging the 2022 midterms would be to spend two years banging away at revenge against the GOP for real and perceived crimes and disses.
I’m sure that’s exactly what a scandal fatigued electorate will be clamoring for.

This is actually really smart, both for Warren’s campaign, but also in putting maximum pressure on GOP senators.

The information the Trump Administration is hiding with the help of Republican Senators will not stay buried forever.

The evidence will be destroyed by the Trump Taliban.

Great idea, Liz, but what makes you think there will be any documents left unshredded / unwiped to release? Or that Hair Furor will even be leaving the premises?

This is an excellent strategy. Putting the Senators on notice that their calumny will be exposed in the near future, or even the distant future, might give a couple of them pause.

The evidence will not be destroyed. Too many people in the White House are doing CYA and keeping copies of everything, you can bet.

They could destroy the evidence, but that in and of itself is illegal.

Whether or not she actually intends on/is capable of releasing the documents, it does put additional pressure on Republicans in the Senate to vote to see this evidence now.

I don’t disagree, but Republicans have proven that they don’t have a shred of conscience, nor does their deplorable base. Illegal? IOKIYAR

Not even to the GAO!

Wouldn’t that be special for all the GOP senators with their heads currently stuck deep in the sand…

Any candidate that promises to guillotine the Trump & Kushner spawns gets my vote.

The first thing a Dem government could do to combat that perception would be to pass the dozens of bills the House placed on McConnell’s desk.

Then, on her walk to the West Wing, Warren might indulging in a piece of chewing gum.

So Warren knows how to make threats too. Nice. Every republican in the chamber knows that chances are, their name will be in some compromising document. The Dems have the rail guns powered up and they are going to be blasting away, going down shooting today.

What we all really need about now is some whistleblowing. Isn’t there someone with a vestigial conscience who has access to this evidence?
