Warnock Secures Reelection In Second Straight Runoff Win

But please recognize that the racist vote is weaker than it was in Georgia. Biden, Warnock, and Osoff all won, something I would not have guessed in 2018.

It is still very strong.

Yes, but the Kemp organization won out this year. If they’d run a sane candidate against Warnock, the result very well might have been different.

Well we know who to thank for that, now don’t we?

The trick now is keeping the thing going without a Gov Race or Senate Race in the near future.

I’m also still personally appalled that so many republicans still thought that Walker was an acceptable candidate. Warnock needs to find the next group of statewide candidates and it would be good to see Stacey either decide to stay off the ballot or got back to a house seat she can win.

The GOP doesn’t really traffic in those nowadays.

Sure they do. Brian Kemp and Brad Raffensberger were both on the ticket this last go around.

The good news—and, believe me, i wouldn’t trade this for the world—is that Senator Warnock has been re-elected. The bad news is that my home state of Wisconsin will continue to have the dumbest member of the chamber for the foreseeable future, our own RonJohn :slightly_frowning_face:

Sinema just lost her influence in the Senate, and should anything happen to her, Arizona has a Democratic governor who would nominate her replacement. Perhaps she can find a way to just retire.

So there’s no way to send him to investigate an active volcano? He is on the Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee.

I thought Warnock was going to carry it but these days, who isn’t always looking over their shoulder? So I’m relieved. More than relieved. I’m

I expected this, but OH HELL YEAH. Congratulations Senator Warnock. It’s been a good day for the republic. From Brandywine Creek and Valley Forge to Utah Beach, Pettus Bridge and the corridors of the Capitol, brave people have fought for this nation’s ideals. They sleep that much more comfortably tonight. You’ve done your part for the moment, sir. Expect us to do ours. Kudos and again, congratulations. A good day, a very good day. :us:

So the vampire defeated the werewolf?

Go figure that, Herschel.

She chose—poorly. :scream:

I’m pretty certain Hershel doesn’t know what an acronym is, despite being the personification of ETTD tonight.

Warnock should not have had to go through a runoff against such a pitiful candidate as Walker.

“This was a great win, sure, but here’s all the reasons why we are all DOOMED!”

In all seriousness, you might want to get yourself checked out for an anxiety disorder? Getting so tense about an election six years away smacks of brain weasels acting up, so…maybe see someone to be sure that the weasels aren’t running wild?

I suspect that he wasn’t so much “acceptable” as, “Fuck you, Libs! We got ourselves a negro, too! HAHAHA!” We probably also shouldn’t underplay the glee of voting for a man who was the living embodiment of the contempt they feel for Black people.

Pitiful. Yes. That’s exactly the right word. Like so many other things Trump, one can only wonder how these things that proceed from him still happen. No less than how he happened to us to begin with. It’s still unbelievable to me.
