Georgia Republican Senate nominee/former NFL player Herschel Walker and a very panicked GOP only had 48 hours to respond to an explosive report that he had paid for an ex-girlfriend’s abortion before the Daily Beast dropped another bombshell last night: The ex-girlfriend is the mother of one of Walker’s children. The revelation pokes a pretty big hole in Walker’s defense: He’s repeatedly claimed that he doesn’t know the person who came forward with the allegation.
He will be doing most of the cutting at least once every 24 hours. Eventually, people will no longer believe a word he says–even “hello”. I hereby dub this campaign meltdown getting Herscheled.
No need to say much more than basically repeat what I wrote on this subject the other day: the Republican lock on Christianists, misogynists, and anti-LGBTQ+ warriors – the evangenital demographic as it were – appears unbreakable.
IMHO Walker is not going to lose a single Republican vote: even the few who express outrage publicly will mark his name in the privacy of the booth; our hope must be that some declared independents get a gag reflex and don’t.

Is it possible he doesn’t know who came forward with the allegation because, like the women with out of wedlock children, there are multiple women for whom he’s paid for abortions?
Yeah, most republicans who hold office actually hate Trump but only those who feel they can afford to admit it will. Imagine how they’ll all turn on Trump, though, if ever there comes a time when they no longer fear him.
Is there a more symbolic indicator of the demise of the GOP than the miscreants they have tolerated as candidates and collegues over the past decade? The undermining of the democratic process continues apace with relatively little that can be accomplished in the rigged gerrymandered landscape dominated by lobbyists,dark money and rigged courts.
“If we’re being intellectually honest, Herschel Walker won the primary because he scored a bunch of touchdowns back in the ’80’s and he’s Donald Trump’s friend,” the lieutenant governor said.
This is what passes as qualification for the US Senate according to 2022 Republicans. How can any sentient being take them seriously as leaders of our nation?
That asshole better hope there’s no God. All of these losers that name drop God to justify their evil acts are in for a big surprise when they get to the Pearly Gates if there’s such a thing. There’s a reason Dante put folks like Walker in the first book of the Divine Comedy.
