VT’s Election Chief Asks SCOTUS To Correct Error In Kavanaugh Opinion | Talking Points Memo

Kav had his training under Ken Starr and learned how to go after democracy using Bill Clinton’s sexual misadventures as a basis for impeachment. Unlike trumPP, however, Bill came out of this trial by fire more popular than when it began.

Sure, just write a check to the Department of Treasury.

Yeah I agree. If one of the clerks had done that the clerk would have to turn it in to J. Rapey first and he’d read it and one would hope, correct the errors and clean it up or give it to another clerk anyway. It’s truly strange that it’s this bad and it can only have been his work that nobody else saw in advance. But I thought they all exchanged the opinions before they were finalized.

I find this really confusing. It’s so very badly done.

if for no other reason than how the drunkard threw the drinking question back at Klobuchar.

She then asked Kavanaugh if he had ever drank so much he “didn’t remember what happened the night before or part of what happened.”

“You’re asking about blackout, I don’t know, have you?” he responded.

“Could you answer the question, judge?” Klobuchar said, looking somewhat surprised by the response. “So, you have, that’s not happened? Is that your answer.”

“Yeah, and I’m curious if you have,” he added.

“I have no drinking problem, judge,” she said, her timing running out.

Breaking news is that Anonymous who wrote the NYT article in 2018 describing how dangerous PP was is Miles Taylor, formerly of DHS.

I was going to say that this Kav opinion lines up with what Trump has been ranting about.
So I just heard that 48% of Texans and 47% of Floridians have cast a ballot. Now I don’t know what each of those state’s election rules are but some states can’t touch a mail in ballot, or absentee ballot until the day of the election, and some can’t start counting them until after the polls have closed.
Now in years past this wasn’t a lot to count in states that didn’t have heavy voting by mail or absentee voting. I expect Trump not to know this but an Associate Justice on the Supreme Court with clerks should sure as hell know better.

Party in Kav’s chambers. He says to bring the Court’s new MILF and some cheap Zinfandel.

I would like to add that in New York, absentee ballots are officially counted on the Monday after election day and that election results are not certified for 2 weeks after election day.
It is the certification date that really matters.
Court orders by various candidates can often push this certification date out in time.
There are other matters, such as tabulation of write-in votes, recanvass of votes cast, and audit of the voting machince, that can not be done on election night.

Hold on there folks. We haven’t won, yet, and we certainly don’t want Thomas retiring before January. We all saw how fast these motherfuckers can install incompetent wing-nuts and they will in a lame-duck heartbeat.

  1. there aren’t enough legislative days to pull that off
  2. they won’t have the stomach to pull that off when their guts will have been delivered to them on Nov 3.

Operative term, “lifetime tenure position.” Kavanaugh can be as stupid, careless and obnoxious as he wants to be. His job is safe. Somehow, the “wisdom of the Founding Fathers” is losing more and more of its luster every day. Sadly, they could not have imagined a Trump and sycophantic Republicans.

Imagine the other justices at SCOTUS get-togethers when Ginni starts yapping her jowls with that little girl voice. Their eyes must roll out of their heads. She is such a right wing nut bag yet, somehow, she is not a racist. Go figure.

None of them are going to be impeached. Trump was 1000x more likely than a conservative justice to be removed and there is simply nothing to gain from going through that process with a justice if they won’t be removed.

They don’t care what anyone thinks about them other than their fellow justices by design.

Rather than impeach them, we should reform the court and make them insignificant.

It is not at all Kavanaugh’s inability to read the Constitution that is at issue. It is, instead, his inability to act in good faith, on the matters on which he rules.

Maybe he was too busy boofing and kicked the opinion writing over to Tobin and Squi.

Sorry, I did not read your comment first and just wrote the same thing. If we are both thinking this it must be true.

From one perspective it’s not confusing at all.

He’s doing what he’s been hired to do. Which is corrupt/delegitimize reality and the court itself.

He’s right on target.

From the angry entitlement POV this is what is his god given right/obligation to contribute.
