I would tend to agree with that statement, but Meadows cozying up to the WH and becoming CoS was a mindnumbing stupid thing to do to further the interests of Meadows.

What is he going to do after this? He has burned his credibility with the Trumpers over the weekend, and nobody in the Project Lincoln side of the GOP will touch him with a 10 foot pole. Its not even clear he could run for his old seat and reassume leadership of the Freedom Caucus.

I spent the last four days on a lonely beach in Washington State with my wife and dog. Then someone told me that Trump got the Covid-19 virus. My first thought was "karma is real ". My second thought was "there really is a God ". Was I wrong to smile and feel happiness?

Ware a mask and practice social distancing and wash your hands often and vote for Biden/Harris.

I rather expect some kushner/meadows angle to sideline Pence, which has probably been approved by Trump unofficially.

There are still people who believe the Democrats infected trump’s microphone at the debate with COVID. :woman_shrugging:

Since they seem similar physically I googled and found this, he went to hospital when it started getting worse after about 6 days. I’m guessing Trump’s going to get a lot worse before it’s over. And he probably more like Herman Cain physically.

Harris on Weds. night: “MIke, Jared is in charge of the country right now and you should be. Why are you here talking to me when you should be in the White House?”

That’s already under way. They have sent Pence out of D.C and the WH for essentially rest of the week. Between the new campaign trail schedule and the VP debate in Utah, Pence is now, far, far away from the centers of power.

The real question is, why did Pence meekly accept this? If there is a real concern of Trump becoming incapacitated/dying (which there should be at least as a plausible scenario now), he should be asserting his Constitutional power now, in preparation.

As I indicated, what happens if Pence is in Salt Lake City, Trump dies, and Kushner is in the WH? He gets called back…wasting precious hours, and then gets briefed by Kushner on what is happening. He has by default, already abdicated in all but name, the role.

I think Boris was in significantly better condition. He’s only in his 50s.

The day after the debate someone who is generally rational reacted to my comment worrying that we are going to lose the basic ACA protections by saying “But he said last night that they are going to protect preexisting conditions. He said it.” My response: “He lies.”

She seemed shocked when I said it’s not as simple as just saying they will protect coverage for pre-existing conditions. What about cost? Annual and lifetime limits? That despite promising one for years, they have no plan, nothing to replace the ACA when they kill it. None of that had ever occurred to her. But she was still happy to believe the lies.
