Virginia State Senator Censured After Praising Capitol Rioters As ‘Patriots’

Yea. I still don’t think I want to carry a gun out in public. Too many ways that can go wrong.

I know this is the US we’re talking about here, but still … she’s talking about challenging a censure from state congress IN COURT? Please tell me this isn’t possible?

Now don’t say that in front of my cousins… who see Antifa around every corner in their little enclave in MI. They are cells everywhere, just waiting to jump out and scare everyone!

There are EIGHT cowards who didn’t vote.

And yes, Amanda, HUMILIATION is part of the equation. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

It’s a shame the Goopers are having a convention rather than a primary to nominate their gubernatorial candidate.

Sure looks like it, and a 60s style curtain at that.

Honestly, I always thought “Second Lady” was kind of an insult, too. Why does the Vice President’s spouse need a title anyway? But calling anyone “second” something just sounds bad. Now you’re right, it makes even less sense since there isn’t a “First Gentleman.” Let’s come up with something else or drop it altogether.

“Chase, who has launched a bid for Virginia governor, claimed that fellow senators are trying to humiliate her…”

You humiliated yourself, asshole.

I guess next she’ll scream about how her first amendment rights are being violated.

Sorry, I did not make my post clear. The post was in reply to the article about Amanda Chase ( R ) Va. state house who was censured by her own colleagues for supporting the insurrectionists as “patriots” . She is among the functionaries throughout the government who ARE maniacs. And they are everywhere throughout our government top to bottom.

I thought at first that “lightning” means “blitzkrieg” to Twitter but then I saw that you misspelled lightning in the tweet. Very clever of you. In all seriousness, I’m glad Twitter never appealed to me.

In this debased era of Orwellian word-smithing, let’s recall that these bozos can’t spell PATRIOT without the word RIOT.

It’s a sort of a lark for the R women, no background in government or anything else that would prepare them, much like djt, but when they get to congress they make their bones by, in her case, suggesting executing politicians and filing impeachment charges against the president on January 21.

Maybe they’re not so much Karens as Annie Oakleys, rootin’ shootin’ cowgirls pointing their guns at everyone and everything.

I think that’s undeservedly disparaging of Ms Oakley, whose reputation as a sharpshooter did not include casually threatening anyone nearby via negligence.

After the 2016 election, my thought was that we needed more women in governing. Then came the women’s day marches and the huge move forward in 2018. I was jumping up and down, and thinking, “yeah that’s what I’m talking about.” Then the 2020 election happened. Yikes! I should be more specific what I wish for. “We need more decent, intelligent qualified women in governance.” … Am I covered?
