He’s ordered the attorneys to pay $50,000 to the court and more than $160,000 in legal fees to Charles Dolan, a former Clinton aide and one of the defendants in the suit.
The linked story says Dolan gets $16,000, not $160,000.

I find it tough to reconcile the vitriolic words pf the Judge with the joke of a sanctions fine. If these folks jerked the legal system off as the Judge says why the slap on the wrist? NO way this sends a shock wave through the Trump team…

I made no predictions because the polls are shit. But my internal compass was saying 52 Senate seats and a single-digit majority for Qevin MqQarthy/MTG. I was off on Tim Ryan. More locally, I was off by about 5 points on Texas, which saddens me even though I expected the statewide loss. Reversion to the mean is depressing.

The House will fall by a slight margin and the Senate may be split or Dem + 1. What was most revealing in the polls was how shitty they’ve become. After their disastrous 2022 fail I doubt polls carry much weight in 2024.

Interesting observation that I may be making too much of… pharma prices (at least a bunch of them) are dropping like rocks. I wonder if the market is thinking a Dem controlled Congress is on the way? ETA: I find it difficult to believe it’s simply because of GSK/Zejula.

I don’t know! I think there are many commenters here who are far more knowledgeable about the mechanics of local elections. My initial reaction is that it would be a tough lift…
