Vance And Walz Will Face Off In VP Debate—Likely The Last Major National Campaign Event Before Election

It’s both the elephant that didn’t bark and the fly that didn’t buzz.

Y’all are prob. tired of my shoulda, woulda, coulda messages but I think Walz would have been much better served turning the discussion, at every point, back to how Chump is a Barely Billionaire built on credit, scams, and fraud…who has ALWAYS been subservient to people with real billions or real muscle…like mobsters and Putin.

That Chump is backed and puppeted by the most wealthy humans on the planet…Putin, Murdoch, Musk, Saudis…perhaps the most anti-American and inhumane fucks in our nation’s (or world’s) history. And now Vance comes along with his 2 years of govt. experience and billionaire Thiel with his arm up Vance’s ass.

Here is what is on offer for America in this election: The Dem party who has always balanced the budget, invested the largesse of the country back into it’s people and infrastructure. Who have maintained the Rule of Law and championed Citizen’s Rights, The Constitution, and Healthcare. Meanwhile the Republican party is threatening again to add Trillions in debt giveaways to the wealthiest, and has devolved and collapsed into something completely captured by The Maniac Chump and the billionaires who own him…with our nation one heartbeat away from being handed wholesale to billionaires, oligarchs, and despots.

I think these are great points and would really slap America awake, and I also think Vance would have had NO answers and would have vapor-locked and it would have been a debate spectacle to watch him try to find an escape hatch.

I also think this is a winning argument down the stretch. It is incontrovertible. And somehow, flying under The Media and Americans radar. It even seems to be flying under Harris and Walz’s radar. It is no secret about Chump, Murdoch, Musk, Saudis, Thiel etc. Take the f’ing blinders off people!

This is probably better served in the stump speeches.

The media won’t cover them because booga, booga, but the people at the rallies will hear it. Since Harris’ campaign is not making the mistake of focusing only on blue States, this could get an impact, especially if Walz makes the same statements at the rallies he attends to.

Gotta keep it simple, though. The average rally attender is not necessarily the brightest. Average presumes that some are below.

I’ve been to Supai. and also the Phantom Ranch. I found the walk in to be OK. It’s the hike out that gets ya.

At 22 years old (that would be 1971)I had a degree, a truck (with all I owned) and no home. It’s not fun or romantic being homeless. So I basically started with nothing. Busted my ass working as you did.

I want the Uranium mine. One of the lesser known “to do” attractions.

The reviews were “glowing”.

I thnk we all need to take into account that Walz isn’t me or you or @castor_troy. And he’s not going to “destroy” someone. It’s not in his nature. He genuinely likes and respects people and he’s not comfortable with verbal prestidigitation. He’s a basically honest and humble Minnesota teacher. And that’s kinda what we saw. He’s not a lawyer and doesn’t think on his feet like one.

He is what he is and it’s done and dusted.

Sargent added the caveat that instant polls after debates aren’t always reliable, but he noted that a CNN poll found 65 percent of respondents feel Walz was more prepared to be president if called upon, compared to 58 percent for Vance, while the Democratic candidate leads 48-35 on who is more in touch with the needs and problems of people like them.

“If these numbers are right (beware of flash polls etc.), the story of the debate is that Walz actually might have blunted Trump’s advantage on his biggest issues,” Sargent posted. “My God did the insta-commentary blow this one.”

I watched the debate last night and it was pretty much a draw. Gov. Walz could of done better but he ended well. It won’t change many minds however.

The National Park Service also said there is “no current risk” to the public or park employees.

“The museum collection facility is open and employee work routines have continued as normal,” Emily Davis, spokeswoman for the Grand Canyon National Park, said in a statement. “The NPS takes public and employee safety and the response to allegations seriously. We will share additional information about this matter as the investigation continues.”
… … … … … … … …
Visit the Grand Canyon’s museum and be confronted with this:

Annnd then be told “Hey, there’s no risk from radiation”… do I believe my lying eyes or do I trust what the Park spokesperson says?/

On a bus tour of the canyon years ago we were told of the uranium mine as we rode past it. Just then I could see Grand Canyon Village and the Hotels (where El Tovar hotel is) just across a side canyon…

They were not - Buddy (black cat) was adopted from a cat rescue, and a few years later I picked up Buster (orange) from someone on Nextdoor who found him as a young but not tiny kitten living in his garage and couldn’t keep him. `

Our neighbor’s cat is “relaxing” in our backyard during bird feeding time. At first light Mrs darr puts out grain and extra water for the various kinds of birds in the neighborhood. The birds know this routine as does the cat. He knows there are way too many birds for him to deal with. He’s content to wait until there are just a few sparrows around. Then he might or might not decide to stalk. Or, alternatively, drop by for a snack of dry cat food just inside our back door.

And I was once part of that base.

That paragraph is from something I wrote right after Vance beat my hometown guy for a Senate seat:
