President Donald Trump said on Friday that he wants the U.S. to reopen regardless of whether there’s a vaccine for COVID-19 available because, in his mind, the pandemic will go away on its own.

As I have mentioned a number of times before, this (mal)administration is turning me into a person I hardly recognize any more.
That said, I hope there are a number of Trump voters listening to this with relatives or friend, elderly or otherwise, who are dead or dying from the virus, and realizing that he doesn’t know squat about anything.
Because that’s the only thing that’s going to make many of them understand: someone close had to die to make it through the bubble.
It didn’t have to be this way.

This “Operation Warp Speed” concerns me, because it’s a vaccine development effort under the white house’s control. With all the usual gaslighting, false statements, and politicization, what are the odds that any announced vaccine is actually effective?

So Trump, a friendly word of advise, keep talking non-sense, and while you are pushing up the death toll, you are also building brick by brick the jail cel where you and your neerdowell family will be locked up after January 20, 2021.
P.s. Here is the head to head polling so far in FL. Note that FAU appears to have a pro-trump lean, which is IMHO the result of a poor online component in their sample. Regardless, even with that, they still have him down by 6%

I feel so heroic being part of this experiment in wishful thinking. Gee I hope the markets are going to do well. I might die, but heck, if a millionaire or billionaire can maintain his or her lifestyle, I will feel like a minuteman. I hope my name will be etched on some memorial so people can look at it and go “Who the heck is that?” That gives me comfort.
Considering he reflexively takes the opposing side of any nationally reported news story, I wouldn’t count on that.
