We need national legislation mandating this. No glory for traitors. The cause is LOST.

Are you ready, hey, are you ready for this?
Are you hanging on the edge of your seat?
Out of the doorway the bullets rip
To the sound of the beat

Another one bites the dust
Another one bites the dust
And another one gone, and another one gone
Another one bites the dust
Hey, I’m gonna get you, too (the remaining ones around the country)
Another one bites the dust

Another One Bites the Dust
QUEEN

I distinctly remember all the warnings from US conservatives about erasing history when Iraqis pulled down the statues of Saddam Hussein in 2003, and when the Russian people pulled down statues of Vladimir Lenin in 1991. I’m glad they maintain their consistency on this issue.

Do we also erase history whenever we flush the toilet?

A symbolic reverse lynching, of sorts. Ha ha?

For those worried about the erasure of history I suggest the museum of sedition & slavery to house the confederated relics.

Traitor should have bobbed around at the end a rope; we would have had less problems today.

So, if a statue stands anywhere does that necessarily mean it’s glorifying history or is it part of history?

Put the statues in a museum, in a section labelled “Traitors” to the United States.

Associating these people with the word “traitor” can help overcome the cognitive dissonance that many in the South feel about the confederacy. They want to be proud of their heritage, but then again, they know that those who seceded were roundly trounced by those who were determined to keep the union together. Keep reminding them, and it may very well sink through, at least to some of them.
