US Bets On Untested Company To Deliver COVID-19 Vaccine | Talking Points Memo

Good to learn about this. Experts are available to help with these matters after Biden is elected. Hell, many are available at companies like Sanofi, etc.

Temperature control is likely very important during vaccine production and that includes when it’s added to syringes. I hear some of the newer vaccines must be stored in dry ice. So these syringes that come out of production hot might not even be appropriate.

No problem. The first day of class, everyone has to bring an old tee shirt, a pair of scissors, and a ruler to class. The teacher will show one of the zillion how-to-make-masks-out-of tee-shirts videos and voila! It’s protect yourselves with your old tee shirts, kids. Can’t expect the government to do more than pack you into COVID petri dishes to get the economy humming again so Trumpty Dumpty can cruise to victory.

Sad to say, I’ll be watching for other countries to approve a vaccine before I sign up. Used to be the other way around, but I have no faith in the FDA on this topic

I imagine it will be another example of buying a few million plastic bottle preforms and expecting that they will be a-ok if used for COVID testing vials.

More like paranoid and unhinged.

Was wondering if they had actual patents on it. And if there are competitors with such an idea. Interesting.

Sounds like they’re in some level of startup funding. Which means the ipo could be worth billions. Mr Priceline isn’t in on it to save the world…

If only there was a branch of government to take these jerks and remind them they work for we the people. Oversight doesn’t fall under the intelligence committee. Unfortunately.

And that there is a company with a line ready to produce them in the us of a that trump’s lackies already dissed… unless something’s changed, that factory could be producing millions by now. Since the supremes - including trump appointees goresuch and beer man Bret - have determined that a sitting president CAN be brought up on criminal charges, time for some state AGs to sue for gross negligence…

Trump actually appointed a former Glaxo vaccine head to the vaccine effort in some role. Glaxo is a huge vaccine producer. Haven’t heard much since. As an actual expert I suspect he’s been Fauci-d by now.

If you are thinking of the one I’m thinking about that is in Texas it just makes me mad.
I can not figure out how FEMA and other agencies were awarding contracts to people who had not experience in sourcing material, were just out there competing with states or other countries for the same damn thing. It’s like these people didn’t/still don’t know the definition of “global pandemic”.

Like the unusable swabs FEMA shipped. As if you can’t, you know, find actual medical info that specs what is needed. Via google. Oh, right, google is part of evil librul commie deep state founded by some ungrateful foreigner. Better to turn to Jared and his vast knowledge.

When her father died of covid-19 last month, Kristin Urquiza minced no words assigning blame.

Mark Urquiza, 65, should still be alive, his daughter wrote in a scathing obituary, published Wednesday in the Arizona Republic.

“His death is due to the carelessness of the politicians who continue to jeopardize the health of brown bodies through a clear lack of leadership, refusal to acknowledge the severity of this crisis, and inability and unwillingness to give clear and decisive direction on how to minimize risk,” she wrote.

Among the leaders whom Kristin Urquiza feels failed her father, a Mexican American resident of Phoenix who worked in manufacturing, are Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey ® and the Trump administration. Ducey, she said, “has blood on his hands” for beginning to reopen the state in early May, roughly three weeks before new infections started to rise quickly.

Mark Urquiza rarely left the house while Arizona’s stay-at-home order was in place except to do his job, which was deemed essential, his daughter said. He started to go out with friends after Ducey and Trump said people could safely resume their normal lives, even as his daughter begged him to stay home.

Kristin Urquiza remembers that as the state continued to reopen, her father told her the governor was encouraging residents to go out in public again. Mark Urquiza asked his daughter: Why would he do that if it was still dangerous?

In other words, I need to plan on social isolating for another year - or until President Biden uses the Defense Production Act to overcome Republican incompetence.

For the record, that doesn’t make you, or @candirue, an anti-vaxer - it just makes you a scientifically aware vaxer. Given the shitshow this administration has put on, prudence indeed shall dictate a measured, thoughtful approach to sticking anything into your body these idjits claim will work. After all, Donnie claims they’re looking at bleach and LEDs, so I’m anticipating waiting until Joe can sort a few things out…

The problem with wheels is that they are in the public commons. We need to invent something like a wheel, but not a wheel, that can be patented by a private corporation and sold at 400% profit. Wheels are for socialists.
