Ukrainian officials are reportedly discussing how to improve their country’s relationship with President Trump in the midst of tensions from the impeachment inquiry.

Here are the stakes, people

There is a vertical, top-down aspect of organization. And a professional aspect of organization.

And a political one.

We are depending on the second. Trump is depending on the first and the third.

Sure, go ahead assholes. And then be prepared to deal with the consequences when Dems win the WH.

I used to be sympathetic to Ukraine, but distrust these jerks completely. So if they want to really destroy bipartisan support of their country, by all means, please proceed.

They are over a barrel. Literally.

So in the middle of a hot war when your people are dying, you’re being harassed by an ally, and…the only way forward is to deal with a mad man. Yes let’s blame the victim here.

Well said. What Trump and the GOP are doing is evil beyond measure.

Yeah, doesn’t life suck? Especially when I have no power to do anything about it? Blank checks all around.

Collectively, the American People have a lot of power:

Don’t fall for Trump’s tricks.

You get a probe! And YOU get a probe! Everyone gets a probe!

Your attitude is the correct one (see my earlier post).

Hunter Biden, Elizabeth Warren’s former landlady Svetlana Gyorgikov, Bernie Sanders’ rabbi’s drycleaner Olaf “Starchy” Kornfeld, Pete Buttigeig’s aunt’s favorite WWE wrestler the “Kiev Krushmaster,” and Kamala Harris’ sister Maya’s milliner Hatty Mikhailovich.

They just happen to be targets of a new general probe into Ukrainian corruption.

So Ken Cuccunelli will be involved/in charge?

The UKR gov’t has gradually and carefully backed away from helping Trump as things have unraveled for him in the US.

I am now more certain that AG Barr is the one who initiated communications to tell the UKR gov’t not to do the CNN interview. It was at a time when outrage and impeachment fever reached overdrive, Barr himself was named as much as Rudy in the call memo (Barr was aware that he was in the call memo b/c of the WB complaint).

Aye, and never mind Trump’s probe, I’ll take care of that one. Turn around Donald.

It appears the takeaway here is that extortion/blackmail works on vulnerable countries. Thanks, Guardians Of Plutocrats.

“Last week, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) sent a letter to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo…”

That is all.

This is how the Trump “touch of death” looks in action: If they don’t go along with Trump’s desires, Ukraine gets burned in the short term, if they do go along, he loses all respect for them, and the next Democratic administration will have no reason to show Ukraine any favor save for geopolitical considerations. Looks like a real lose/lose for Ukraine.

They might be sending up a trial balloon to see if publicly ruminating on doing this will help their standing with Trump. This is a real no-win situation for them.

Important to note that this isn’t the Ukrainians saying this, these are American sources saying this about the Ukrainians.

I’m guessing the Ukrainians are just trying to string trump along, running the clock. It would set up a showdown if they just openly said “no”, but as long as they leave the door open to negotiations…
