Ukrainian Government To The US: Please Leave Us Out Of Your Mess

I think the subject will come up. I have a sense for these things. :joy:

It is not normal to do so to encourage a foreign govt to intrude into our elections.

Correct.
It is normal to hold up aid as Biden did to force firing of prosecutor.
It is normal for America to ask for Ukraine manuscript of call for aid.

What Trump asked for was betrayal as it was to interfere in elections.

They didn’t cause the problem. However, their situation would be markedly improved by doing anything in their power to remove Trump from the presidency.

I do not see where holding a much-loathed individual accountable for myriad violations of his oath of office would lead to “mass extinction”…

Anyone can see The CombOver is one big mess with a brain sitting under it.

Not for more than a year, and in a year a lot can happen when Putin’s grabbed one part of your territory and has troops in another. They have to be conservative, so to speak, in their tactics right now.

If it re-elects Trump by persuading a tiny minority of voters in the critical swing states under our Electoral College systems.
.

Winning by millions doesn’t help if you can’t do that. The critical states and probably the swing voters in them are well to the right of the majority of Americans. It’s a bug in how our system was devised.

So to get the results we want militarily we have to send double.

Ukraine turned toward the West. It was utterly forseeable that the US would want Ukraine to reduce its dependence on energy from Russia. Biden’s son joined an Ukranian company trying to do that. That company was investigate but a corrupt top prosecutor named Shotkin quashed that investigation. A year later Obama’s Vice President, Joe Biden, was sent to pressure Ukraine to get rid of this guy who had protected the company his son had joined. Biden was successful in getting the guy dumped. This is the opposite of corruption.

Trump, on the other hand, is pressuring Ukraine to participate in framing his political opponent and his son.

And Trump stonewalled Congress about why he was blocking aid to Ukraine.

Except I wouldn’t think that much involving their most important ally against Russian aggression they’d classify as trivial. Not when Individual-1 is withholding hundreds of millions in military aid, and the Russian bear is gnawing on the back door.

Trump shut down Congressionally mandated aid to Ukraine. And lied to.Congress about.thisGiuliani…Trump’s personal attorney -.had been lobbying for investigation of.Biden’s and for a search for exculpatory evidence for Manafort. Trump himself concedes he brought up Biden’s name. And Trump thinks he can sell this hot mess.as a normal concern about corruption.

Russia would dearly love to have the US stop.siding Ukraine and Trump is happy to serve his master. Putin’s bitch and MoscowMitch 2.0 better rethink that.

But that’s my point. They have real problems and don’t need to get sucked into Trump’s world of fantasy right now. In the real, grownup world nobody named Biden did anything vis-a-vis Ukraine that was “corrupt,” so they don’t want to discuss it or get mixed up in it, they hope to be left the hell out of it. If my analogy wasn’t clear then fine but let’s not put words in my mouth.

Ukrainian Government To Mr Tantrum: Please Leave Us Out Of Your Mess

Why would the Ukrainians trust Trump at all? In 2016 his campaign removed language from the party platform that advocated supplying weapons for Ukrainian fighters there to a more general assistance.
